[/b]SACHIKO
say what you like,
talk that talk to me,
Sachiko hummed to herself softly for a moment as she walked forward. The amusement faded away, leaving only the admiration, and an emotion that, though she was used to, she couldn't admit to having felt in awhile. Not since eleventh, at the very least. She kept her eye on Hirato, her feet taking the path by instinct and memory. Her mind was starting to occupy herself, taking her most recent observation of her companion and running away with it. Whoa, girl... She reined her mind harshly and forced herself to focus on the sound of her companion's voice.
Hirato's brief amendment to his previous statement was undoubtedly the last either of them would speak of the subject. "Aaaah..." she murmured, amending her mental image of the Hollow accordingly. Well that cleared that last question. Though she had only a vague image of the Hollow, she was certain that if she asked around, someone else would tell her about it. She assumed Hirato was probably fed up with the questions and, quite honestly, there wasn't much more she could ask without getting down to specifics, which even she hadn't the heart for.
Though she was physically looking around, perhaps observing differences in the way since she had last come this way, that was hardly where Sachiko's mind was. Now that she didn't have to focus on a topic vastly different from her mindset, she let her mind. She hummed a short note again, this time allowing her excitement a brief escape. It seemed a game had begun. Though she didn't really see the need to respond to it, she certainly hadn't missed Hirato's small smile, especially as uncommon as she now realized the expression was. So he had noticed.
Perhaps it was the atmosphere created by the shadows; perhaps it was the fact that the shadows and her limited eyesight meant that the distance between Sachiko and her companion was small to say the least; or, perhaps, and this was most likely, it was all because of the small treat she had gotten. Whatever the reason may have been, Sachiko's mind was wandering, as it was wont to do. This particular time, however, it remained firmly on the track it had been going on, a topic not altogether unpleasant.
Though really neither of them had done anything yet, Sachiko was already excited. This was a game she hadn't played in awhile...she hadn't felt the desire to, really. But, at the same time, it was a game she enjoyed greatly, and a game she had become rather good at.
Hirato's second smile was even more of a surprise, and Sachiko blinked when she saw it. Because she knew this route, she was able to keep her head turned slightly to look at him. Her gaze was almost expectant as she regarded him now; it was quite obvious to both of them that this had crossed over a small line from the realms of innocent conversation and, as she had been thinking earlier, she might actually be concerned about him if he didn't respond.
Sachiko couldn't help laughing after Hirato spoke for the second time. He did it again! She smiled at the sound of the language that, though she didn't understand, was now becoming familiar. "Dare I ask what this one means?" she asked, her voice teasing. Though his tone, with a rare hint of emotion, gave her some hint as to what he might have been saying, the fact remained that she spoke no other languages and was basically clueless. "Honestly, red, that's hardly playing fair, is it?"
