The Gotei have emerged from a long and bloody Civil War within the Seireitei and the Rukon. Five centuries ago the Soitaicho Xiaoyu Demizu and her Fukotaicho Kimiko Demizu found out that the ruling body of the Central Forty Six had become corrupt. The Rebels who numbered but in the thousands came to the crater and began construction of a memorial to all those who had lost their lives in the conflict. Most notably the two Soitaichos that had triggered the very war they had just ended. Now with the war being over the leader of the Rebels passed away leaving the bloodied hakama that was the symbol of the Gotei to her eldest daughter Lhin who now is in charge of the Gotei and tasked with leading them out from the ruins they where within.
Many have risen and many have fallen during the Gotei’s Civil War but there has been but a few constants. The Tres Beasts roaming the sands in honor of their Reyes. Along with them the elite squadrons of Grimmjow roamed the sands for four centuries as the Gotei imploded, but then one day they stopped. No one knows what happened to the former Espada. Those so strong they said could suck the very light from the air about them when their powers where used. Now the sands stir restlessly. Those afraid to show their face for the previous century are now emerging. Stronger Adjuncha’s clawing around trying to find the rumored source of the power of the Reyes within the ruins of the White City.
However by comparison the old ruins that was once Aizen's kingdom whilst in Heuco Mundo has had some presence dwelling from within. Neither Hollow or Arrancar dare trespass however due to the reiatsu emitting from it's once proud walls. What threat could be looming within the former citadel of power...
During the Shinigami's absence from the Human realm, Hollows have grown unchecked, the Quincies just as much as they hold much dominance over the realm of man as the last defenders against the hollows. Feeling that the Shinigami have abandoned mankind the Quincies have had no issue or opposition crushing any pockets of resistance with their newfound allies the Fullbringers.
However the Fullbringers feel that despite the lack of Shinigami within the world the threat of Hollow and Arrancar alike have risen. Local rural towns decimated within hours as many once ruins of mankind have become desolate holds for Hollow factions.
However during all of this two amongst a handful of others from a past long since forgotten have awoken and seized opportunity during the detonation of the Sokyokyou Hill. The names forgotten by the sands of time however with the mishap and under sight by the Shinigami this darker shadow from the past will need to be addressed before it surely spoils ruin to all fronts, Hollow, Quincy, Shinigami and Human alike.

So Aizen was captured, sentenced, thrown in jail and the key thrown away. Great....... The priveron that he had around him all disbanded, and on the run..... okay. Ichigo lost his powers the rest of Ichigos group all returning to the real Karkura town to return to a semblance of normal life. Hurray for them....
Remy didnt know what else to think of anymore. To be frank it was duller than dull since the winter war had ended. Remy had nothing else going on so he did what he normally did when he was bored (or dodging paperwork) He traveled to the world. To be more precise; he traveled to New Orleans. Over in the french quarter there was a nice Cajun restaurant that he loved. It also had a great Microbrew too. Remy's Gigai was well known here. To be fair though over the years he had gotten a lot of good information here on mysterious happenings; some of which turned out to be the work of hollows. Tonight though it was all about having a good time for Remy had nothing else to do.
Walking through he door to the Cajun Restaurant is a tall, slightly well dressed young man, looking around the age of 22. His black and white hair grow a murky red tint in the faded light of the restaurant, his white shirt is crumpled slightly where he has tucked it in carelessly into his dark trousers. His emerald green eyes still managed to sparkle in the dim light while his birthmark fades into the darkness. His tie is loosened slightly as he walks through, gaining a few odd looks, he is obviously a stranger to these parts but he just drifts through towards the bar.
Placing a few coins on the bar, he takes a drink and sits down on the nearest table. Placing his head on one hand, he sips his drink with his free one while seemingly staring into space smiling all the while, listening to the music and happenings of the bar.
As the night goes on, the natterings of conversation drift through the bar, the music is plain for his taste but it has a slight spice to it, the drink isn't too bad...even if it was non alcoholic. His eyes catch sight of the other patrons, especially the red eyed man. Inquisitively, he cocks his head to one side, his left eye squinting slightly as if he was trying to work something out he couldn't quite grasp.

Well heres somebody new Remy thought to himself as the new guy strode in. Remy could feel the reaitsu coming off the guy. The only thing he wasnt sure of was if this guy was friend or foe. That was the only problem with the real world. Though from the way he was looking at him it seemed like he was trying to size him up. That was the main thing that worried Remy a little. If it was an enemy then it was a thoughtful one. that was a rarity among the leftover arrancar. Though his reaitsu signiture did seem familiar......
Thats when it hit Remy. It was one of the members of the newer member of the 5th division. Remy cocked his head slightly in thought. It was unusual to find the lower seated shinigami outside soul society though not a rarity. Remy finally waved him over motioning to one of the other chairs at the table he was seated at. Might as well figure out what he was doing here. Remy thought as he looked at the barkeep who brought over another round for him.
Suddenly snapping back out o the trance he was in whilst staring at the stranger, he was surprised he hadn't come over and hit him one. Blushing ever so slightly, he got up from his seat, drink in hand and walked calmly and softly over to the offered seat.
Sitting down, he had a better chance to have a look at him, something seemed....familiar....but he was perhaps too inexperienced with these things to think why.
"Hey, sorry for staring at you there, hope your not angry or anything."
The music still wafted as it ever did over the entire place, people chattering to each other rather loudly, nobody seemed to be paying them much attention, if any at all.
"Hey, sorry for staring at you there, hope your not angry or anything." The shinigami named Kai said as he sat down. Remy just Shook his head side to side showing that he didn't care. After the barkeep had left earshot that's when Remy finally spoke up, "A bit unusual to find a low level shinigami away from Soul Society isn't it?" Remy asked him quietly as he took a drink from his beer. The music in the bar drifted around making any chance of their conversation being overheard difficult, not that Remy was that worried. The Barkeep here new full well what Remy was. He was one of Remy's best contacts in the area. The man knew how to listen for any unusual rumors of haunting's or disappearances
(((OCC: sorry about the short post have had little to no muse as of late)))
After hearing the words Shinigami exit the other mans lips, Kai felt more at ease now, so that's what it was. He knew he could sense something from this man, he must also be a Shinigami. Kai was not used to being in the real world so sensing others like him instead of other things was a tad different than he thought
"I was actually here with a lieutenant but we seemed to have gotten separated. She said to meet here anyway so I thought I would beat her to it. I met her a few days ago and she found I had never actually been to the real world before, she needed someone to go with her and well...I was around hehe."
Drink in hand, he sipped it, the fresh taste along with the coolness of the ice was just what he needed right now. It may be evening but it was still warm enough around to need a cool drink. He was just glad this place served non alcoholic drinks...especially after last time...
"What about yourself? Are you stationed here?"

Lost wasn't a word that appeared very often in the mind of Nanao Ise, but at this moment it seemed to be more than a lingering adjective. The French Quarter was huge, far larger than she had imagined, and in the sea of evening wanderers she couldn't even spot the place they had decided to meet. Huffing in frustration, she eased her way through the revelers trying to avoid contact with the humans to appease her fear of being called out as a being misplaced. Having only been to the human world on a few occasions, normally with her captain, she usually took great delight in the excessive vibrancy of the experience; it was her opinion that everything in their world was muted but she seemed to forget this between her visits so each subsequent time was just as exhilarating. But although she had been enjoying herself to begin with, even managing to secure an exquisite new kimono-style dress for the upcoming sakura festival, it had all dissolved into panic when she had caught herself wandering down unfamiliar streets unaccompanied by her shinigami charge.
Stop. Calming her fluttering heart, she paused in the crowd long enough to sense a faint reiatsu signature. Unsure who it belonged, to but assuming that it was Kai, she elegantly wove her way towards the source until she came to an old bar with a beautiful painted facade. Hesitating on the porch, she adjusted her glasses, smoothed her crimson silk dress and lightly touched the silvery handbag that was concealing her zanpakuto.
With composure regained, she finally passed through the doors into the dark interior of the place, immediately assaulted by dozens of powerful scents and sounds. Holding her breath to prevent the inhalation of the sticky-sweet smoke that seemed to cling to everything, a quick scan allowed her to spot her comrade and another shinigami whom she didn't recognise. Cautious but reluctant to give way to any suspicions she approached the men with a faint smile, bowing politely as she reached them. "A small bourbon please." She settled herself on a lacquered wooden chair beside Kai as the barman nodded and granted her request. "Sorry I made you wait Kai, I got a little caught up in the atmosphere." Noting the ice in the glass with displeasure she sipped the drink politely, reluctantly accepting its pleasant cooling effect. Finally acknowledging the other man, she nodded curtly in his direction watching him intently through her glasses with her bright lavender eyes. "I am sure you have more important duties to attend to than entertaining wayward shinigami, officer..." Teasing him slightly with a smile to confirm her intent. "I am Lieutenant Nanao Ise of the 8th division, and this is my guest for this visit Kai, though I assume you have already introduced yourselves." She ran her finger along the outside of her cold glass, creating trails through the condensation as she awaited his answers.

Remy had to chuckle a bit after listening to the young Shinigami talk. Really? what are the officers up to these days....... He thought to himself with a grin. Remy waved for another beer and then spoke up, slipping into his bayou accent as he did. "Nah ole' Remy here not really stationed any where. Fer dat matter Remy not even here on de mission, Remy just here 'cause he can 'an Remy has contacts in de area." Remy chuckled out as the barkeep brought his beer and cleared away the empty one. Thats when Remy noticced the new reaitsu signiture coming closer. "Ah, ha If ya be wai'ten on yer lieutenant, Remy here dinkin dat dey just be arrivin...." Remy stated as he let his gaze wander over to the entrance.
Walking through the entrance was the lieutenant of the 8th division one Nano Ise. Remy chuckled a bit as she walked over. Then with her drink ordered and a quick apology to the other Shinigami, thats when she turned her attention to Remy. I am sure you have more important duties to attend to than entertaining wayward shinigami, officer..." She started, then after a moment she continued, "I am Lieutenant Nanao Ise of the 8th division, and this is my guest for this visit Kai, though I assume you have already introduced yourselves." She finished. Remy took a drink from his beer then replied, "Ah mon cheri, Ole Remy be know'n you too. But de introductions have not to be fully done. As fer me I be Remy LeBeau, Gambit ta mah friends and de current 10th seat of de 3rd division. As fer t'night......" Remy swept a hand around the bar. ".... Ole' Remy here got de nothin ta do but be relaxin on a nice night in de city." Gambit paused a moment as he drank some more from his beer before he continued. "So what be bringing you too to New Orleans t'night?" Gambit asked as he leaned back slightly in his chair.
Feeling a tad guilty about leaving Nanao Ise on her own, he didn't know much about her, but since she was a lieutenant he knew she could handle herself, none the less, he was her charge and should have been more careful.
"Nanao-Fuku-Taicho...I am sorry I lost you out there."
Bowing his head down, slight embarrassed at this fact, does not wish to make eye contact with Nanao at this moment, he only knew her for a while but knew about her glare...it should peel paint of a dry wall...after a little while he lifted his head back up to Remy
"Well, I shall let the Fuku-Taicho explain why we are here, she after all has a better understanding of it anyway."
Laughing slightly, trying to cover up his slight embarrassment...he was only just recently placed at the 14th seat so around these higher ups he felt quite small.
Watching his lips carefully so as not to miss a word, she did her best to understand his thick accent. Curious, and somewhat amused, she refrained from questioning him about was sure to be an interesting past. Most people in Soul Society were secretive of their histories and it was considered rude to ask about their previous lives, but having been born in the Rukongai the mystery was a delicious intrigue that she couldn't get over.
What worried her slightly was the fact that he had sensed her before she had arrived, perhaps even recognising her reiatsu. Suppressing it was something shinigami should master quickly, and though she was more than adept at such a simple task it had completely slipped her mind. If rogue arrancar had been in the area it would have been easy to single them out, and she doubted that she would be able to handle any of Sosuke Aizens old crew alone, especially while having to watch out for the low ranking officers. Momentarily focusing her concentration, she drew in her spirit energy until not a flicker of it remained. Remy's drawl brought her back and she listened to his introduction.
"Well Officer Lebeau, it is a pleasure to meet you. Though I'm sure Lieutenant Izuru would be able to find something to keep you occupied, I am glad tonight we had the fortune to meet you tonight."
Nanao didn't want to change the relaxed mood that had settled over them, and with a simple correction they would be able to maintain the peace. Attending to the 5th division shinigami, she wondered at his evident unease around her. Had her reputation reached such startling levels? A little smug, though somewhat concerned, she spoke to him, once again a slight mischievous tone seeping through. Must be the bourbon...
"Don't worry Kai, I'm not going to punish you for running away. However, I would like you both to suppress your reiatsu while here in the human world. Anyone could be seeking out shinigami, for revenge or otherwise..."
As an afterthough, she withdrew a little flip-phone from her bag and quickly tapped out a message to the current 5th seat of her division, Sachiko Kobayashi, telling her to make her way out as soon as possible and authorizing the creation of a senkaimon. She would feel more relaxed with a reliable member of the Hachibantai with her. Putting the device away, she decided to explain their reason for being here to their host for the evening.
"We're not on any sort of official business. Well, I suppose division hosted festivals do count, but nothing serious. I just needed appropriate attire to appease my captains eye for detail and Kai was kind enough to offer to accompany me, though I suspect he had his own agenda... Why New Orleans? Japan is wonderful but I thought a trip further afield might be more exciting. And less dangerous. Oh, Kai, did you get what you were looking for?"
Afterall, Nanao had never heard of an 'iPod' before and the thought of being able to hold and listen to music on a tiny electric device fascinated her. She took another swig from her glass, enjoying the strength of the drink; she was trying to build up her tolerance so she could at least keep up with her captain, at least in the beginning stages.
"So Officer LeBeau, how are you intending this evening to progress? I fear Kai's attention span may not be occupied for long with his juice..."
Ahh, the human world was so fun!! There was so much more to do than there ever was in Soul Society, especially since it had become so boring and grey after Aizen was taken care of and the rest of the major crisis’s seemed to be averted, at least for now. But thoughts like that were banished while in the Human world….you simply couldn’t keep them in your head! There were all these different people and places and ghosts and even Hollows for when you got really bored. There were ways to entertain yourself than you could ever imagine! It was like a huge amusement park! The streets were full of people who took all this fun stuff for granted…who could live in a world like this without being filled with awe?? It was a great place! Needless to say, Sachiko felt kind of like a kid in a candy store, walking down the streets of…New Orleans, wasn’t it? Hell, wherever it was, it was great! Compared to boring and quiet Soul Society, a petting zoo would be more fun than wandering Seireitei. Ohh, was there a petting zoo anywhere around here?
Sachiko had only ever been to the human world two or three times before and all of those visits had been purely business and thus very short. So this was the first time, really, that she had ever been here for fun and if she weren’t so caught up in everything around her, she would probably be determined to make the most of her trip. She had hardly believed it when Nanao-san had asked her to come into the human world with her! She had finished her work as fast as she could before heading out and even right now she could barely contain her excitement.
It wasn’t that hard to track Nanao down…Sachiko was very good at that kind of thing. Besides, if all else failed, she could just call her, right? Despite her tracking skills, however, it took her quite a long time to get there. It had nothing however, to do with losing her lieutenant. She just kept passing people that looked amazing or shops that had cool displays and she would stand staring at them for a few minutes in total awe, gaping like a little child. She even ventured inside of a few shops and secretly bought something, though she hid it as soon as she exited the shop, just in case she got caught. At the moment she was currently walking around the French Quarter with her hands behind her head, not really worrying about silly things like getting lost or losing Nanao-san. She had been amazing at first the people didn't stare at her too much, but when she saw some of the other people walking the streets, she understood.
She decided, against her own will, that it probably wouldn’t be best to keep her lieutenant waiting (she remembered the last time she had done that), so she broke into a small run in the direction where she could sense the familiar reiatsu. She found the place where the lieutenant was waiting and peered into the window before going in, just to confirm what she already knew. There were…two other people with her. She recognized one of them. With a decisive nod, she opened the doors and walked lightly over to the three other Shinigami quickly, saluting them loosely before sitting down across from Nanao. "Sorry it took me so long" she apologized. ”Hello, Nanao-fukutaichou…and I’m sorry, but I don’t know your names” she said, looking at the two men. Now that they were closer, she recognized them both as Shinigami and wondered what they were all doing here. Surely Nanao-san hadn’t called all of them?

Happiness descended, showering the desolate earth compassionately. It washed away the transgressions of the devious, drowning all of their worthless schemes in a righteous flood. Tears mingled with the rivers as they purged innocent blood; camaraderie and love were supplemented by this, allowing peaceful blossoms to emerge, rising from the scars of war. It poured, delighting disconsolate hearts with a beautiful melody. Enmity disappeared with the thunder, retreating underneath powerful displays of altruistic revelations.
Joy trickled down, rousing the sleeping abomination of ignorance. It screamed as the peaceful petals drifted throughout the air, carrying grace’s pleasing scent straight into retribution’s fortress. Messengers of deceit suffocated as their venom liquefied, dripping into the darkest corners of men’s hearts. Even as reconciliation declared itself victorious, whispers of hostility still echoed in the most ambiguous recesses of the soul. Palaces dedicated to conspiracy flourish in the shadows, silently plotting harmony’s demise; their arrogant blades shine in a crimson hue as candor collapses, clutching traitorous wounds.
The melody reverberated throughout night’s haven, silently captivating wandering individuals to its warming, relieving flame. Sins scurried away, cursing honesty’s revealing illumination; suspicion thrashed about in the consuming inferno of virtue. Continuously, a cheerful cacophony flowed from grateful lips, eroding the insignificant barriers that once imprisoned countless arias. As those impediments collapsed, countless songs combined as nature reveled in an unfamiliar tribute to humanity’s true beauty.
Night’s tranquility was disrupted by the sound of footsteps. The man’s crimson hair swayed as he approached the bar; he detected several faint reiatsu signatures inside, as well. Allies, I suppose, Hirato thought as he continued to walk toward his destination. Soon, the Third Seat entered a location much different from what he was acquainted with; liquor’s smell permeated the air, while drunken mumblings composed most conversation in this place. It seemed to be a typical place for relaxation and merriment in this world. Humans were very predictable, at least for this Shinigami who had endured four centuries existing silently alongside them.
A few individuals reacted to his appearance, but the majority quickly ignored him and continued drinking and conversing. Hirato straightened the collar of his silver dress shirt and checked the black suit he was wearing over it. He also glanced at his semi-formal black pants; the Shinigami sat in the only open seat next to an unknown female comrade with black hair and caramel skin. “Hello, Lieutenant Ise. As for the rest of you, I am not sure what your names are, but allow me to introduce myself. I am Hirato Murano, the Third Seat of the Seventh Division.” Motioning for the bartender, the Shinigami’s cerulean eyes examined all of them passively as he awaited their responses. It had been quite a while since he had visited New Orleans. Hopefully, this is interesting, he thought while sitting in the comfortable chair.
Wow, so many people had appeared it was starting to feel a little enclosed in this small place. They hadn't gathered any attention, well no more than anyone did when people walked into a bar anywhere really. It was still a bit sudden for this to be happening, he wasn't even fully aware Lieutenant Ise had even asked someone else to joing them. Oh whata great companion he was, regardless of this though he just smiled his usual smile and continued on with the conversation. It had, after all, died down somewhat recently, everyone just seemed to be waiting for the next person to speak so he thought 'why not me?' and so it went.
"Um, well welcome to all I suppose hehe. What finds everyone here then?"
Why not start off with the small simple topic? That always seems to work with these sorts of circumstances. Yes he knew why he was there, why Lieutenant Ise was there as well but as the otehrs he was not too sure. So breaking the ice was up to him and try it he did, sipping his drink once more he realized that it was nearing the bottom but he did feel a bit rude getting up to get a enw drink, so he would wait until others needed to do so as well. After all, manners are good, specially around others after all.
The atmosphere in the bar had not changed much since they all had come in, but there was an air of something around. Perhaps it was just the fact they all had reiatsu and he could feel bits of it sparking around the room, considering everyone else was a human after all so that must be it. Perhaps there was something else but he ahd yet to notice if there was, fair chance it was just his imagination but who knew really, who knew.

Oi, oi, oi Remy was thinking to himself. It was unusual to find this many shinigami all gathered in one place outside soul society, and remy had just come here for some relaxation! All the while that people had been arriving, Remy had his beers to drink. Not that the alcohol was affecting him yet. remy knew how to pace himself. With all the new people here though Remy thought he better reintroduce himself as he gave a curt nod to those that just arrived. "Ah be Remy LeBeau, de current 10th of de 3rd division at yer alls service. Tho' Ole' Remy here beginnin ta dink dat Remy bein de only one dat not bein on de misssion at de moment." Remy said as everyone else seemed to be gettin ready for different stuff that they had to do.
Which was fine with Remy, let the others work hard, when there was no work to be done. The intel division had heard nothing new from the going ons of Aizens old group in months. in fact the only new stuff that had been heard is that the number of hollows in the human realm was back to relative normalcy. Remy sighed slightly with that thought and waved for another beer....
Nanao lifted her gaze to watch as her 5th seat finally arrived. Over an hour late. Resisting the urge to chide her in front of the others, she settle for a slight shake of the head as Sachiko approached, giving her a disappointed frown.
"I hope you were securing a perimitter Officer Kobayashi..."
She understood how the young woman felt, the rush of joy at being somewhere more vivid and new than Soul Society, but there would be time for exploration later. She needed to know that her squad could reliably assist her swiftly and though this hadn't been an emergancy by any means, it would have been preferable for her orders to be followed and not taken lightly. She really didn't bare any ill-will, but she had a reputation to maintain. She was wondering whether to continue persuing this line of thought, but no harm had been done and another shinigami had just entered the bar.
She straightened against the hard back of the chair, peering through the sweet smoke to catch a glimpse of his face. The sharply dressed gentleman with the incredible eyes she recognised immediately as Hirato Murano from the seventh division, third seat if she recalled correctly. He confirmed this with his polite welcome, and Nanao bowed her head at him in greeting, wondering how he had possibly ended up here. Her stomach knotted briefly as her first thoughts jumped to trouble, their gathering had drawn hollows to them, but she relaxed as he seated himself not far from her and relaxed into the chair completely unperturbed. Calm your nerves! She ordered herself, taking a long drink and finishing the bourbon.
"Excuse me, I'll be back in a moment."
She stood briefly letting the others introduce themselves. Wandering to the bar past the other mildly intriguing patrons, too busy drinking, smoking and talking to pay her much attention.
"I'll have a double bourbon... And a gin with lemon on the rocks."
[i[On the rocks. Jesus...[/i] Trying not to curse herself aloud, she maintained a serious face, leaving money on the heavily stained counter before picking up the glasses and heading back to the crowd. Hiryuu would never let his place get in this condition... Her smile had returned by the time she reached the table. She placed the glass with the gin in front of Sachiko with a smile that said enjoy. Catching the tail end of Remy's words she shrugged lightly sitting on the chair though slouching casually with her forearms on the table. She took another drink.
"Well, Sachiko, Kai and myself are here on rather informal terms. But I'm interested in Officer Murano's reason for visiting tonight."
