"Don't you disrespect me, little man! Don't you derogate or deride!
You're in my world now, not your world"
For some reason, the streets of Kurakara were buzzing today. It was usually such a quiet and sleepy little town (if you were one of the lucky few who couldn't see Hollows, of course) so the congestion in the streets was actually quite...unnerving. Chiyo wasn't used to having so much trouble just walking. She could hardly go two steps without stepping on someone or being stepped on herself. Since it was the weekend, she had decided to take some time for herself and just walk around town, but that had proved to be...well, not the best idea she had ever had. She was getting a bit annoyed and she couldn't feel her feet anymore.
Just as she was starting to get fed up with all the pain and annoyance, there was a flash of dull color on the edge of her vision. She turned her head, going against the flow of the crowd briefly so she could look at the item that had caught her eye...which was a book in a window display.
Chiyo gaped momentarily at the little shop, which had apparently only become visible during a brief break in the traffic. She was repeatedly bumped by hasty pedestrians, but she ignored them as she focused on something that was much much more interesting. She stared at the window displays for a few moments seriously and then looked up at the sign that was hanging above the door. "Global Antiquities". Hm. This place certainly seemed interesting. She opened the door (with some difficulty) and was immediately buffeted with a cold, dusty breeze that rushed from deep inside the shop and into the sidewalk outside. How odd. She stepped inside, and a little bell announced her arrival to whoever was lurking in the depths of the store.
Well this place was interesting. There were two little tables right by the door, kind of like a cafe or something. It was very dimly lit and very cold...Chiyo could see her breath! She rubbed her arms as she walked forward. None of the shelves were taller than her and they were crammed with baubles and oddities that even she had trouble naming. She even saw something looked kind of a like a human hand. Shivering, she pulled her Pocky out of her bag and started to munch on it, wandering around the ridiculously large shop (it was much bigger than it looked from the outside). She wandered up to the window and stared at the book that was on display. It was in French, a bit of an oddity here. She began to calculate whether or not she could afford it at the moment, as well as whether or not she was patient enough to have it put on hold. "S'il Vous Plaît Entré" she read, blinking.
A pink crumb fell to the floor.
Her thoughts were immediately interrupted by a loud and startling voice, which erupted from a small red-faced old man who suddenly leapt at her from behind a shelf, brandishing a broom angrily.
