[/b]CHIYO
knocking desperately,
at trouble's door,
The Ishida family hospital was one of the biggest in Kurakara, Chiyo was pretty sure. Despite that, though, there was a distinct lack of any ghosts, or Hollows, or really spirits of any kind in the immediate vicinity. Her parents often told her not to go there without a companion, though she couldn't imagine why. The most danger she could come to in the place was ODing on Tylenol fumes.
Today, Chiyo was going to disobey her parents, for two reasons. A) she had a friend from school who had been injured in a car accident and she wanted to visit them, and B), she was just plain curious about it. What kind of hospital didn't have ghosts in it? Or, more importantly, Hollows? It just boggled her mind, as much as her mind could be boggled. Hospitals were practically Hollow breeding grounds! Oh, hey, did Hollows breed? After all, they were animals, but did they actually have reproductive organs? Did they even need them? Chiyo's thoughts drifted off in that direction for quite a while, stopping abruptly when she almost ran into a pole. She spent a minute or so staring at the offending metal object before standing back and looking around. "Oh, I'm here."
Chiyo stared up at the building. There were a few strays cobwebs and banners up from Halloween, but it looked to be business as usual. "Time to get lost," she announced quietly, and headed inside. Immediately, she shivered...she wasn't a fan of hospitals. They were always so cold! She pouted slightly and shivered, pulling her trench coat closer to her body (today her outfit was a bit more "mainstream": mismatched sailor fuku clothes, a headbag with adorable little sparkly bug antenna, bright mismatched sneakers and a bubblegum pink trench coat were her fashion choices of the day).. She looked at the directions in her hand, intent on finding her friend's room before she got herself completely lost.
That hope, however, turned out to be in vain, because just four minutes after walking in the door, Chiyo was deep in the bowels of the hospital, and hopelessly lost. She went up stairs, through doors, up hallways, and weaved in and out of empty rooms. Her friend was all but forgotten as her mind gave way to a new goal: to explore. And maybe find out what happened to all the ghosts.
Mostly just explore, though.
