It takes acquired minds
To taste, to taste, to taste this wineOh god, Marianne hated tourists with a passion. To her they were such disgusting little creatures. With their tiny little fanny packs strapped to their waste, which the fashion minded woman thought was a cardinal sin. Often followed by another cardinal sin in the form of the large globs of sun screen that they generously applied to their nose. Then they had those little disposable cameras that they clicked away at like they were in some kind of magical zoo.
All in all every time the dutch spy saw another she wanted to pull out her crossbow and shoot them in the head. Which made it so odd that today she was in the garb of the people she hated so much. A tight white shirt served as Prominence's top today, with the words I ♥ Japan across her sizable chest. Strapped to her own waist was a deep lavender fanny pack, filled with nothing but money, disposable cameras. The bottom of this atrocious pack was lined with ginto capsules, in case the Quincy ended up in a situation she couldn't handle. Although Maria highly doubted that any situation would cause her trouble, especially in this small quite Japanese city.
A pair of bright purple cat eye glasses hid her beautiful hazel eyes. Although the glasses, which seemed to come straight out of the 1950s, served more as a mask to the wicked desires that laid beneath her otherwise peaceful guise. A little smirk formed on her face as she pushed up her glasses with one hand, her golden quincy cross bouncing on her wrist. The ruby, and golden edges that flared out from it seemed to catch the attention of a few of the seedier residences of Karakura. Yet the look on her face drove most of them back. It could only be described as overly confident. Maria was a woman that knew what she wanted, and that she was going to get it. Although most people would simply write her off for being cocky.
Prominence's other hand held one of her many disposable cameras. Her long slender finger flickering away at the dull grey button at the top of the camera, causing a torrent of white light from the flash. "Als verontschuldiging!" Was the only thing she had to say to the residents who grew rather upset with her. It was a poor excuse, but it marked her as a foreigner. And the worst kind, a tourist. As Maria weaved her way through the crowd of Karakura Town's airport, she would keep taking pictures of all that she saw. When her camera finally ran out of film, she would simply exchange it for another within her purple fanny pack.
The entire time she allowed a bit of her reiryoku to leak out. A few weak hollows, and other creatures drawn to such power seemed to scurry along the edges of Maria's vision. Prominence didn't let all of it leak out, only half of what she was capable of. Partially to spare the innocents around her, the other part of her didn't want to fight something that could actually hit her back. A fight was only fun if you could toy with your foe. Besides she was here as a scout. It would be rather unprofessional of the former spy if she gave away ALL her secrets on her first mission, but it would be nice if Karakura Town gave her all of it's secrets.
