Racial Abilities
Listing Information
Beyond the exceptionally refined arts of Kido and Ginto, each race has developed, or has the capacity to develop, unique abilities that take a secondary role to their individual powers. These are the abilities that will be registered and listed here, and displayed in the “Reiryoku/Reishi Abilities” section of your character template (Or “Reishi Abilities”, in the case of Quincy characters).

Ommited Abilities: While a shinigami’s Shikai abilities, a Quincy’s special bow manifestations, or a human’s unique spiritual power may be considered, in a sense, a racial ability, these sorts of abilities will not be listed in this area of the forum, as they are covered by various other areas of the character template. Also, certain techniques or combat maneuvers may not be considered abilities if they are only some physical application of another ability; for example:
This ability, a variant of the Shinigami’s Shunpo, is characterized by an effect that cannot be achieved with Shunpo and physical skill alone. This is the afterimage, which suggests that there is a Kido-like effect involved (an afterimage cannot be achieved with physical speed alone; that illustration is more meant to be an expression of the attacker’s perception.)
This would not be considered a Reiryoku Ability, because it does not add to the ability that it is based on, Shunpo, in any way that cannot be reached through physical means. There would be nothing stopping anyone who was skilled in shunpo and zanjutsu from using this ability even if it was not in their profile, as opposed to Utsusemi, which requires that extra kido element.
Restricted Abilities: Certain abilities, either because they belong to specific character groups (Shunko) or require an exceptional level of strength (Gran Rey Cero) will be marked with a x - for Restricted. Only highly developed characters with special circumstances will be allowed to take on these abilities, so we request that you don’t come to us and ask for them, even if you think you deserve one; we’ll find you if and when a restricted ability is applicable. Also, some abilities, which are meant to be used by one and only one character (like the legion of personalized Cero variants out there) which will not be listed at all, as they cannot be learned by multiple characters.[/font]
