Sitting there under the night sky on the desert sand’s a small light flicked on and off. The sky above the desert was clouded that night, and the stars where blotted out with only the light of a full moon to penetrate the thick cloud cover. It gave the small figure who sat on the dune just enough light to see the dark looming shapes of the pyramids off in the distance. The dark cloaked figure would have gotten closer to the marvels, but he didn’t want to risk his contact being detected by the Quincy’s. It was a female Quincy after all among that order whom he didn’t want to run into while he was near one of the Tre Beast. It would mean having to strike Ren down, and he would prefer not to do that despite the fact that she had rebuffed him. Not that it mattered to the Shinigami anymore, but he had enjoyed the female Quincy’s company and she was still his friend after all. For a moment he wondered if maybe he could tell her about the Mistress. He did trust Ren after all… maybe it was something he could do in the far future when he was much stronger. Sitting there Ryou continued to just flicker the lighter that he was holding on and off again.
Every time the light came on it would reveal the changes that the Shinigami had made to his appearance. He was wearing a cloak over his head in order to shield himself from the cold, yet his face was also covered up. A twisting mask of bandages twisted itself back and forth over his face to keep it hidden from view. In fact the only thing that could be seen was one eye that he left uncovered, giving Ryou an appearance much like a mummy, but it was simply the appearance that he planned to try and use from now on when he was in the human world. Around his neck was a black collar like choker with spikes on it, anyone could tell that it was a dog collar. Then hanging from that was a golden pendent that was done up in a spherical shape, with a golden running around the equator of it. At the center of this golden line was a metal circle that looked like it had a small plateau on it. The plateau almost looked like a button in order to open something. On top of the orb was two small golden sharks in the shape of horns… Ryou had all the work done in by a friend whom he had paid quite a bit to. The person whom he had paid never made much, so it hadn’t taken much to get him to do the work. Kurosawa felt very proud of the way that he had disguised the gift that the Mistress had given him. Ever since he had put it on, he hadn’t taken it off either. Careful to disguise the fact that he had the scars around his neck marking him as belong to Mistress Hallibel.
Standing up Kurosawa began to look around to see if he could feel the reiastu of an approaching Tre Beast, since he didn’t know which one… or ones… where going to come and pick him up. What he did know was that they would have to move the instant they got there. Kurosawa was a little worried because he wasn’t sure what the Tre Beast had in store for him. Without Mistress Hallibel around to restrain them if they should get angry then he wasn’t really sure what would possibly happen. Kurosawa knew that he could handle himself though… whatever the trio threw at him he would be able to handle. It was all a question of just watching and making sure that he protected himself at all times. Muttering to himself he looked around, “Alright guysss now where are you. It isss getting very late you know.” He was starting to become slightly worried that the Tre Beast and the Mistress had not gotten his message. Communication wasn’t always 100 percent after all, but usually it was him that was late… and not the other way around.
