Hirato could sense Kaoru-san utilizing the ability he had just taught her in order to determine his emotions but decided not to comment on it or even openly acknowledge that her actions were known to him. The betrayal that dominated him while speaking about Kuromi was fading away and composure took its place; the crimson haired man listened to Kaoru-san accept his warning and state that she would be careful, although Hirato already realized her determination to follow him would not change no matter how dangerous their path was. A light smile softened his features and his cerulean eyes took in the beautiful sight of the Seireitei, a peaceful paradise that had sheltered him for so long. My home, the 9th Captain thought fondly, recalling memories both recent and distant as he gazed upon the place which held them all. Hirato glanced back toward Kaoru-san upon hearing her question, examining his apprentice for a moment before reaching his hand to his chin in a characteristic habit of his.
Hirato thought for a moment then said, "Once Kuchiki-taicho's unreasonable punishment ends, you will have your Zanpakuto again," calmly disapproving of the 6th Captain's actions and stating what Kaoru-san already knew. Although Kuchiki-taicho had earned his ire recently, Hirato disagreed with him on many issues long before ever attaining the rank of Captain and interacting with the noble on a more regular basis. Hirato started walking and passed by Kaoru-san, his hand still held to his chin while pondering what their next course of action should be considering the current situation. Kaoru-san's real training could not begin while she was without her Zanpakuto and it was not yet time to involve her with his countermeasures, so there was not much to do until Kuchiki-taicho returned her Zanpakuto. Hirato inwardly cursed the overreaction of the black haired man once again, wondering what caused him to act so uncharacteristically toward his apprentice.
His hand left his chin and Hirato looked into Kaoru-san's eyes, a worried gleam entering his gaze at the prospect of her entering the battlefield against Enigma, even if it was her own choice to do so. Hirato held her gaze for a few moments prior to looking away and walking back to his previous spot overlooking the Seireitei, the white stone reflecting the retreating light of the setting sun. "Once you have your Zanpakuto again, we can begin your real training, Kaoru-san," Hirato said, his tone mostly neutral with a hint of excitement due to the thought of training an apprentice as skilled as her. Kaoru-san was already an accomplished Shinigami and her potential was amazing, not to mention that her powers were not even fully developed yet and she would only improve from here on out. With his training increasing her abilities, Hirato could only imagine what levels she could reach. There was no turning back now for either of them. The battle lines were drawn and now they prepared for the fight that was to come.
