Physical Description:
While Toori is indeed a Shinigami with a very unique wardrobe and personality. She does not forgo wearing the traditional shinigami’s robe. Underneath the loose clothing Toori wears a black, skin-tight suit of under armor that covers every inch of her body except for her head. T Her suit comes up the Shinigami’s neck and forms around each of her fingers. The suit is very stretchy and the only way to get in and out of it is through the neck-hole at the top. Most of the suit cannot be seen, however, since Toori wears her other robes over it. The body-suit breathes very well, and liquid can pass through it freely if she is ever submerged in water. The material is capable of keeping Toori warm in cold temperatures while the suit’s porous exterior allows her body to breathe in hotter temperatures. It is a very practical addition to the soul reaper’s wardrobe.
On the Shinigami’s feet she wears a pair of plain, straw sandals. They allow Toori for swift and agile running while maintaining a quiet sound. Hidden within the soles of her sandals, Toori keeps two tiny needles, capable of piercing small weak spots or delivering some type of poison to her opponent. The dull ends of these needles poke out of the back of her soles, near her heel. She can pull the needles out at a moment’s notice and is quite skilled at throwing such small projectiles. The needles are about two inches long and each made out of steel. They are both dull on one end and sharp on the other.
Toori’s shinigami robes remain unchanged for the most part. She wears the typical black pants and matching robe on top with a white sash across her waist. The loose sleeves of her robe have white trim along with the pant leg holes that surround her ankles. Her hoary rests on top of her typical shinigami robes and makes up the third layer of Toori’s outfit. It is sleeveless like many of the other Shinigami’s robes and possesses her squad’s emblem on the back of it. Toori’s robes never seems to touch the floor as she fights unless she drops low to the ground. It always seems to remain a few centimeters off of the ground as she performs all sorts of different maneuvers and never seems to get in the way of her swings and acrobatics. When Toori walks, her robes flaps rhythmically behind her without a sound, almost like a ghost’s cloak.
The most unique portion of the Shinigami’s wardrobe though are what she chooses to wear on her head. Over her eyes the shinigami chooses to adorn her with a dark purple visor that covers her eyes and hides them completely from anyone looking at her. The outside of the visor’s lens is very reflective, and causes one to be able to see their own reflection in the soul reaper’s eye gear. Her visor is very effective at reflecting bright lights and keeping Her eyes protected from shrapnel and any other threats to Her vision. The neat thing about the visor though is that it doesn’t protect her eyes from bright light by making everything she sees darker. Rather, its reflective qualities simply keep an excess of light from reaching her eyes. T Her causes her vision to appear close to its actual brightness, and dulls extremely bright lights directed at her reflective visor.
Not only does Toori wear something that covers her eyes, but her ears are also covered by a wireless, headphone-like device. The headphones are purple like her visor, and are connected together behind Toori’s neck. The earphones possess an airtight rubber coating around its electrical components making them completely waterproof and protected from electrical surges. Both the earphones and the visor are very durable as they’re able to sustain a solid punch without so much as cracking.
On the Shinigami’s back, Toori keeps her zanpakutou sheathed so that it is drawn over her left shoulder. The sheath in which the sword rests in is rather big due to the size of her large zanpakutou. On the side of the sheath the characters for “Blood” “Sweat” and “Guts” are written in yellow down the side of it. The end of the sheath is sharp and has a sharp, golden tip that runs all the way up the edge of the sheath to the top where it encircles the opening with the elegant design of a serpent devouring its own tail with emeralds for eyes. The part of the sheath that isn’t adorned with gold is made from the traditional black wood that other sheaths are made out of.
Toori possesses a slender build with very pale skin due to her wearing the suit practically 24-7. Her loose clothing hides the fact she appears so slender, but that’s not to say she lacks power. Because of how thin she is, it is easy to see the muscles that she does possess. Toori has a well-developed body even though she could be labeled as skinny. The Shinigami’s abs and chest are defined well and her arms possess curves from the bulges of her muscles. Toori’s skin is free of wrinkles, acne, and scars as she takes great care of her physical appearance. She has practically no body hair and growing facial hair is practically impossible for her.
The shinigami’s face appears very boyish and people can tell that she looks young even with her face covered by the visor. Toori’s chin is pointed and defines her jaw very attractively. Her eyebrows are thin and expressive; and they are the same color as the hair on her head. Her nose is small, which simply adds more youthful features to her boyish face. The shinigami’s eyes are dark green and very expressive. Her irises and pupils seem to shrink and expand depending on her mood. For example, when Toori is surprised her eyes widen as her pupils and irises shrink down to small dots. The Shinigami’s eyes are very important in getting her emotions across to other. Unfortunately her eyes are typically shielded behind her visor and one must interpret the movements of her eyebrows and mouth to gauge her mood.
There isn’t much to say about Toori’s mouth other than she keeps her teeth very clean and her breath fresh. The Shinigami’s physical appearance is as important to her as smelling nice is. The Shinigami’s breath always smells minty fresh and she never possesses any body odor except immediately following rigorous exercise. As for Toori’s voice, it is calm and soothing. One could describe her voice as buttery, or charming. It is neither high or low and sounds like it belongs on the radio.
The Shinigami’s hair is a light black color and very shiny due to her good grooming habits. Toori’s medium-length hair is very soft and can be styled differently with ease. Toori, however, has taken to wearing her black hair so that Her long bangs reach down in thin streaks over Her face. The rest of her hair is slicked back and runs down her neck naturally. Toori’s hair is just long enough to run halfway down the back of her neck in a mullet-like fashion.

Personal Information
Personality Overview:
A soft spoken yet quite the warrior, Toori's personality could best be defined as puzzle pieces that don't look like it would work together, yet the ending result is that of a complete piece that fits just right.
Toori isn't outspoken, and isn't much for words. She only talks when talked to, and doesn't state her opinion, unless asked, and it's only bits and pieces, making her seem to come across as guarded and sometimes rude. She doesn't enjoy attention, though stating she was shy wouldn't quite be hitting the nail on the head.
Wise is also another word that often is used to describe the female; which she is. A smart head sits upon this girl's shoulders, and she is by no means afraid to use it. Her mind is arguably her strongest weapon. It can be deadlier than her Zanpakuto, if used right. Toori prefers using her mind to win a fight rather than brute strength; she isn't built for such a weapon. A deadly combination of Kido, Zanpakuto, Hakuda, Shunpo, and Janjutsu. She utilizes all her skills to the best of her ability, creating an effective combo out of more less powerful attacks.
Toori works well both in teams and as a one (wo)man army. She has the brains to work her way out of almost any sticky situation, and is quite crafty. She can play the role of both the leader and the follower. Toori prefers the latter, but when forced into the spotlight, she shines brightly as well. She can be the foundation of any group, providing a beacon through darkness to help others find their way back home.
Because of her habit of keeping to herself, she doesn't really make many friends easily. She could easily be considered a loner, and tends to like to blend into the background rather than be the center of attention. She doesn't think of herself as anything special; she regards herself as a pawn in a larger game of chess, and is fine with that.

Character Time-line:
Toori was born in Rukongai. She knew nothing of life in the World of the Living before she went to the Soul Reaper Academy. Her father was a retired Shinigami warrior, her mother a being from the Rukongai, her brother being just older than her.
Childhood for Toori was like that of a normal human child; her parents raised her in their household, they home schooled her, and she grew up a normal childhood; playing with the other kids around her area, learning dangerous games and rumors from them, the typical childhood.
It was a few years after that when her friends were having a fear challenge. Toori and her brother, Aon, had heard of rumors of a powerful hollow in the area, one that the adults forbade the young from approaching, or questioning about. But kids are kids, and the two wanted to prove they were braver than their peers, and both pursued the creature together, jeering at the other about how they would chicken out the moment they saw the beast.
The two soon lay eyes on the large and powerful beast, its scream reverberating around the area. The two stopped, Aon grabbing onto Toori's shoulder and pulling her back as the creature ran towards the two. They dodged a blow from one of its feet, Toori pulling Aon behind a building, thinking they could escape it there; they were already panting.
Its roar became louder, and Aon jumped as Toori squeezed his arm tightly, fear starting to overtake her. She moved against him, looking to her left as the creature's head moved around the corner. The two jumped up, and ran. The hollow followed after the two. Toori screamed as she fell, and Aon pulled her up.
Toori looked around, trying to find a place to escape the creature. Three Shinigami warriors appeared to her left, and she jerked in that direction, a flailing arm reaching out to grab onto Aon, pulling him with her. He himself jerked painfully, feet flailing sporadically as he tried to keep his footing. He staggered, but somehow managed to keep his footing. The only female in the group stopped and grabbed Aon and Toori, pulling the two behind her as she drew her Zanpakuto.
Together, the two males threw down the beast, and the lone female, using a kido, trapped it down. Two swords slashed across its throat, and its call was heard no more.
Two years after the hollow incident, it hadn't faded from either of their minds. They had thanked the Shinigami, and had never seen them again, yet the memory was still there, as if it had only happened yesterday. The two decided to become warriors themselves, and so both took the entrance exam, both passing on their first try. Toori dressed in a red kimodo, Aon in a blue after that. Toori excelled at hand to hand, while her brother was best at sword fighting. It was often these two who were pitted against each other in combat, and it was here the two fought each other constantly.
The two siblings helped one another become stronger, while looking out for each other. Aon did most of the protecting, considering he was the older of the two.
It was at the academy that Toori met Rin Miyagi, a fierce and temperamental girl. Toori and Rin became friends easily, and the two hung out often, causing Toori to push her brother away, much to his chagrin. It was perhaps because of this the two came to be who they were today; that they couldn't rely on the other to be there for them when the situation was dire.
Through much training at the Academy, Toori finally learned how to enter her inner world, where she saw the beast that resided there for the first time. In the past, she had only heard a gruff voice calling out to her, yet she was unable to remember the words spoken to her. At first, the beast, the spirit just stared at her, as if it couldn't believe she was here. Then it spoke one word; Taki. Toori hadn't known what it meant by that, but she didn't question it, and the beast lunged at her.
Claws flailed wildly at the female, yet she hadn't known what to do to get it away. She had no sword; the one she received when she arrived was left behind when she entered this world. All the female could do was dodge the endless blows.
She had no weapon. She only had the skin on her back to defend, and the brain in her head, which she couldn't seem to use effectively to this point.
A gruff voice rang inside her. Use what you know. Those simple words, and the female widened her eyes. As the beast charged her once more, swinging a large paw, the female jumped quickly to the side, a hand reaching out quickly to grab hold of it. She swung her body sideways, pulling her closer to the blue wolf like spirit, out of the range of its other paw. A foot kicked out, landing in the beast's chest as it staggered backwards.
Toori took a stance she had fallen into so many times while training in unarmed combat, a stance that was familiar to her. As the beast charged again, Toori charged with it. Her feet left the ground as she jumped, hoping her timing had been correct. She landed just in front of the creature, and reflexes caused a hand to shoot out, grasping the paw as she pushed her feet into the air, causing he to fly over the creature's paw, landing on its back. She grabbed the aquamarine crest that rested upon its brow, trying to keep her hands from tangling into the long strands that flowed freely from under the crest.
Toori didn't give the spirit anytime to react as she shouted a single word; Taki! Toori herself was unsure why she uttered the word, the same word the beast had spoken before it attacked. A strong desire within her very soul forced the word from her lips, and she didn't hinder its release.
The spirit froze, and bent down, allowing Toori to slide easily from its back. She stood in front of it, and the creature dropped its head towards her, touching her forehead with its muzzle. Toori felt a rush of a cold sensation billowing through her, and she became cold, as if touched by cold water.
The female looked down suddenly as she felt something touch her right hand, and the female pulled the limb up, looking curiously at it. Claws were forming against her fingers, overlapping them. A chain spread from the razor sharp metal pieces, connecting each one and ending at her lower wrist attaching to a piece of metal that twisted around her hand.
Toori realized that as the weapon appeared on her hand, the beast whose cold breath touched her head faded until it disappeared all together.
When Toori and Aon graduated, Toori joined the kido corps, along with her friend Chino, and Aon went to join the thirteenth division. Toori didn't question Aon's choice, and Aon didn't question Toori's, the two just did as they wanted, and joined.
