The Gotei have emerged from a long and bloody Civil War within the Seireitei and the Rukon. Five centuries ago the Soitaicho Xiaoyu Demizu and her Fukotaicho Kimiko Demizu found out that the ruling body of the Central Forty Six had become corrupt. The Rebels who numbered but in the thousands came to the crater and began construction of a memorial to all those who had lost their lives in the conflict. Most notably the two Soitaichos that had triggered the very war they had just ended. Now with the war being over the leader of the Rebels passed away leaving the bloodied hakama that was the symbol of the Gotei to her eldest daughter Lhin who now is in charge of the Gotei and tasked with leading them out from the ruins they where within.
Many have risen and many have fallen during the Gotei’s Civil War but there has been but a few constants. The Tres Beasts roaming the sands in honor of their Reyes. Along with them the elite squadrons of Grimmjow roamed the sands for four centuries as the Gotei imploded, but then one day they stopped. No one knows what happened to the former Espada. Those so strong they said could suck the very light from the air about them when their powers where used. Now the sands stir restlessly. Those afraid to show their face for the previous century are now emerging. Stronger Adjuncha’s clawing around trying to find the rumored source of the power of the Reyes within the ruins of the White City.
However by comparison the old ruins that was once Aizen's kingdom whilst in Heuco Mundo has had some presence dwelling from within. Neither Hollow or Arrancar dare trespass however due to the reiatsu emitting from it's once proud walls. What threat could be looming within the former citadel of power...
During the Shinigami's absence from the Human realm, Hollows have grown unchecked, the Quincies just as much as they hold much dominance over the realm of man as the last defenders against the hollows. Feeling that the Shinigami have abandoned mankind the Quincies have had no issue or opposition crushing any pockets of resistance with their newfound allies the Fullbringers.
However the Fullbringers feel that despite the lack of Shinigami within the world the threat of Hollow and Arrancar alike have risen. Local rural towns decimated within hours as many once ruins of mankind have become desolate holds for Hollow factions.
However during all of this two amongst a handful of others from a past long since forgotten have awoken and seized opportunity during the detonation of the Sokyokyou Hill. The names forgotten by the sands of time however with the mishap and under sight by the Shinigami this darker shadow from the past will need to be addressed before it surely spoils ruin to all fronts, Hollow, Quincy, Shinigami and Human alike.

It was his first time being inside of the grand temple known as Soragan, and even though he was just passing through, the magnitude and beauty of it seemed to outweigh everything that was around it. The large open air courtyard, and black stone tile made him feel at one with the sky, and the simple wooden roofing of the buildings reminded him that this was what was called sacred ground. It stood out like a sore thumb in the middle of the large city filled with skyscrapers and modern buildings, and yet its beauty outweighed all of that. Even the simple blue banners that read Sora, the banners that hung every few feet, they made him feel like he was taking a trip back into the past, back to a time where the world as both more peaceful, and more natural.
"The Human World is a real drag!"
Kenpachi spoke out loud to himself, the verbal notification a better reminder to his more than simple mental one. He had been standing for a while, just taking in the temple but he was here in Karakura Town on vacation. Leave from the Soul Society since hadn't have any break time in more than a decade. His gigai & spirirtual limiter effecting him uncomfortably. He came down to the Human World to seee why everyone loves it so and other than this very temple, he didn't see exactly why people loved it so much. The food was strange. The women were too nice and no fights were going on. Kenpachi scratched his head thinking about how lame this was. Shaking his head at the boredom.
Daylight. It was something he didn't get to see much of, especially now that things in Hueco Mundo were getting hectic. Nel's sudden reappearance and Hal's arms gathering had him on tenterhooks, he conceded to himself. How dickish was that move, though? Hiding out until everything got quiet...what a coward. He was disgusted with himself for feeling uneasy at all. She was nothing. Nothing! She had jack shit on him. He was the king!
Still, he basked in the sunlight far away from the two of them. The human would was certainly his kind of place. There was a vitality in their air that had long since been exhausted back home. He missed it sometimes. They were quick, liked running around a lot. Put a bunch of them in a group and the group almost took on a life of its own. Humans could be downright interesting sometimes.
When the war was all over, when they stood victorious over the shinigami, he would be sure that the human world fell to him to control. As much as he liked their vigor, he'd like snuffing it out even more.
He looked around, sneering in something akin to frustration. The Kurosaki kids were hiding--he couldn't sniff them out, they had found a way to conceal themselves even (or especially) from his pesquisa. Let them. He'd just kill them later rather than sooner. It had been a pretty long time since he had faced off against someone of a high enough caliber to compete

with him, especially not that Kurosaki girl. She had been menos bait from the moment he'd spotted her--it was a fluke that she had knocked him back like she did. He flared his reiatsu, a cold and imposing power that anyone in Karakura should have been able to detect. It was about time the world became aware of the presence of their future king.
"Alright, ya powerless little screwheads; listen up! You're gonna be under my thumb soon enough, so know my damn name! Grimmjow Jeagerjaques! Got a problem, come try me!" His bravado won out against what semblance of sense he had.
"Well, that oughta turn some heads." He muttered as he leered down at the city from far above. Was it just him, or had Karakura gotten...taller?
A lot can change in fifty years around here, he supposed.
