Physical Description:
Karas is a moderately tall man, standing at a full height of six foot, five inches and weighs in at a good 180 pounds. Not a single ounce of Karas' body weight is fat, what isn't made up from the weight of his bones, organs, or water weight is made up of pure muscle. His body is incredably well toned and almost perfectly muscled. Most noticably in his legs. Karas is built as a speed-type warrior mixed with a power-type with his powerful arms and legs. His long hair is silver in color and spiky while extending down to his mid back with a few stray bangs hanging in his face, stormy blue-grey eyes and lightly tanned skin as if he were out in the sun all the time.
Unlike most Shinigami Squad Vice-Captains, Karas does not wear the traditional uniform consisting of black hakama, shihakusho or obi. Instead Karas wears clothing one would find in the human world, normally consisting of one of two sets of clothing. A black suit like outfit consisting of loose fitting black jeans, black combat boots, red dress shirt and black suit jacket with matching tie. His other standard style of dress consists of, once again, loose fitting black jeans with black combat boots and a t-shirt. Of course being a Vice-Captain he is required to wear and arm badge which he wears looped around his belt on his left hip. Karas also normally wears his Zanpak-to across the back of his waist with the sword handle facing out on his right.
Karas also had a tattoo right across his upper back of a wolf's paw centered between two wings of flames. This is meant to represent him and his clan. His right ear is also pierced three times, the lowest one hangs with a small gem in the center of it, the middle is a simple wolf-shaped stud and the one at the top of his ear is more of a thin piece of metal folded over the top. His final accessory is a silver adamantium necklace. When wearing his mask his eyes change from blue-grey to red surrounded by black.

Personality Overview:
Karas is of a complex personality, even to the best members of Soul Society who are supposed to be able to figure out people easily. He is prideful and stubborn, to begin with. His pride refuses for him to be defeated in any manner and will continue until he has won. Yet he also knows to accept defeat when it has been handed to him, knowing that so long as he survives he can always return to try again.He does enjoy to laugh and have fun.
The Karas always looks bored because Karas normally ends up bored with most everything. He finds a good thrill to battle and as such will often go out of his way to find one. Even if it means cutting into another's fight and taking it for his own. He is of a very high-strung nature and more often than not is incapable of remaining still, finding he always has to be active or on the move. He is loyal to anyway that manages to earn it from him, his belief being that trust, friendship and respect are earned rather than simply handed over. His loyalty extends to the point where he would give his life for a person that has earned it.
Karas is not the most logical person out there. While he is highly intelligent he ends up acting before thinking most of the time. Most of the time you can bet he'll be one of the first warriors on the battlefield charging head-first into the fray. When in battle it is capable of pushing him well beyond his limits, unlocking another side to him most accurately titled his "beast". In this state all sense of logic is lost and he throws caution to the wind, charging head-first into a battle where he will do anything and everything it takes to win and survive. Though causing him to reach this point is extremely difficult and thus it is something hardly ever seen.
His intelligence is another thing. Having gone to school in the living world and being raised by two former captains he is well educated. This is most prominent in his problem solving abilities. However he likes to hide his intelligence most of the time and when in battle he doesn’t rely on strategy, simply pure adrenaline and recklessness.
Karas' hobbies include, and are heavily influenced by, music. During his time in the living world he obtained a device called an IPod that he is surprisingly able to use in Soul Society, as well as a guitar. He enjoys rock n roll music as well as music from anime and Japanese dramas in the living world. He trains when not "jamming out" on his guitar regularly, keeping several punching bags in his barracks. He enjoys alcohol and women. He's a smoker but very rarely will he light one up and often enough when he's by himself or with someone who doesn't mind. His biggest pet peeve is when someone will ask someone else a question about him rather than approach him themselves, and almost everyone knows not to speak for him. Karas refuses to raise his hand, or his blade, against women and children and if he absolutely must he holds back a tremendous amount of his true abilities. If anyone appears to be a child and is really older than they appear to be or if they look like a woman but are really male then he finds no need to hold back and will go full force against them.
Character Time-line:
Karas is the biological child of Keisuke Urahara and Yoruichi Shihoin. Born shortly after his parents' escape from the Soul Society he grew up with a semi-normal childhood, just like any human child. Unlike human children he was born with the special abilities to see, touch and communicate with spirits. Of course he made peace with this ability at a young age so it didn't effect his mind much. Unfortunately Karas was home schooled by his parents, mainly by Yoruichi, and was hardly able to make friends with human children. When not studying Karas was working in his father's shop in Karakura Town or being trained in martial arts and combat by his mother. On his 20th birthday his parents sat him down and explained to him why he had always been home schooled as well as why he had spent the majority of his life training, finally breaking the news to him that he was the child of two shinigami.
Of course Karas was excited about learning that his parents were these people with fantastic abilities and immediately began to pester them to train him as a shinigami as well. After a few days and a confirmation to his parents that it was what he really wanted he got his wish and was taken below his father's shop, only to discover the vast training area under it. There he was put through the process of being turned into a shinigami by having his soul severed from his body. It was during this process that he began to develop his struggle with what would become his inner hollow. The struggle resulted in Karas becoming something that was neither shinigami nor hollow but rather a combination of both. Though after this incident Karas' hollow abilities remained dormant for the longest time, leading to the normal development of his shinigami powers. He would continue to develop his powers over the years, developing additional powers that allowed him to create and control fire through unknown means. This development worried Keisuke who instantly knew it was related to the hollow powers that manifested when his son was turned into a shinigami.
Eventually Karas had to take a trip to the Soul Society to find out more about where his parents came from. Upon his arrival he was immediately thrown into the shinigami academy as a new student, being mistaken for as a potential shinigami. Because of the training his parents had given him throughout the years he was one of the fastest to graduate in the history of the the academy. He was then accepted into Squad 6 as the 5th seat member. Karas remained in contact with his parents though because of their exile he had to do so in secret, it was through them that he learned of a new shinigami in training with his father that had devolved the same condition as he himself had with the exception of his fire based powers. Shortly after speaking with his parents about this matter several individuals stormed Soul Society, the individual he had been speaking with his father about was among them with his mother at his side. Needless to say Karas felt the need to help the individual, named Ichigo Kurosaki, so long as his mother and father continued to assist him. It was during these battles that Karas' hollow poweres truly manifested and transformed him into a vizord.
As this "invasion" ended another threat rose in the form of one of the Gotai 13's captains turning rouge and leaving Soul Society along with two other captains. This coup would later escalate into a full-out war between the shinigami and a new enemy called the arrancar. Karas would once again aid Ichigo Kurosaki by traveling to the base of the arrancar, Las Noches, in search of the woman named Orihime Inoue who had been captured for her god-like ablities. But not before learning to truly control his newfound powers as a vizord. It was there in Las Noches that Karas, Ichigo, the human named Chad, the Quincy Uryu Ishida, Rukia Kuchiki and Squad 6's Vice-Captain Renji Abarai were engaged in a series of battles with the highest ranking arrancars. The Espada. Karas and Ichigo faced off against the 6th Espada, Grimmjow. While Ichigo fought Grimmjow Karas sat on the sidelines with Orihime and another arrancar who went by the name of Nel, acting as a last line of protection for the two so Ichigo could fight his battle without obstruction.
Once Ichigo had beaten Grimmjow another Espada made his appearance on the scene, and Espada calling himself Nnoitorra. Nnoitorra not only attacked Ichigo but Grimmjow as well, claiming he was weak and worthless for allowing himself to be beaten by a human. Karas acted quickly and intercepted Nnoitorra's attack, only to move Grimmjow to saftey after. Unfortunately Ichigo was unable to defeate Nnoitorra and Nel was forced to step in and face him with her full power. Unfortunaetly her full power didn't last and Nnoitorra gained the edge once again until the captain of Squad 11, Kenpachi Zaraki, appeared and took over the battle and allowed Karas and the other to escape. Karas of course bringing the wounded Grimmjow with him. The battles continued in the world of the living where Karas and Ichigo joined the fight yet again. This time Karas was the rescuer of yet another Espada, the 3rd Espada Hallibel, who had been attacked by her own master and left for dead. Just as Nnoitorra did to Grimmjow.
As the battles ended and Soul Society was declared the victor a new wave of captains and vice-captains took over with Karas becoming the new vice-captain for Squad 1.

Surprisingly well crafted, KamiDoragon extends about the length of Karas' arm. The actual blade of the sword is crafted with a flame pattern along the edge. The handle of the sword is intricately detailed with golden flames over red cloth. The guard is shaped completely like a phoenix made of gold. Trailing off the bottom of KamiDoragon's handle is a red cord that is tied off to some kind of bird's feather. The scabbard of the sword is a blood red colored wood with more gold winding around it in flame-shaped patterns.
Inner World:
KamiDoragon's world is almost a mirror of Karas' personality. Rather than a city or anything like that Karas' inner world is a mix of a night club and a strip club. A long and thin catwalk big enough for a single person extends out from the back wall into the center of the main room. Dozens of tables surrounded by large, plush chairs surround the end of it where the pole connects the floor to the ceiling. A staircase on either side of the front door leads up to the second floor and again another set of stairs leads to the third floor. Each floor rings the area where the dancers can be watched through large sections of clear glass floors that are meant to be used as dancefloors. The third floor is almost identical to the first with the exception of several more catwalks.
On the first floor there is a bar on each wall either side of the cat walk. On the second floor there are bars against each of the four walls, the one above the front door is settled between the two staircases leading to the third floor. On the third floor there are only three bars with only the wall with the catwalks are coming off of not having one. Each bar is fully stocked with perfectly fine drinks that Karas, KamiDoragon and/or Sarak can drink freely each time they're there. Unfortunately because it is Karas' inner world there are no other people exept for him, his Zanpak-to's spirit and his hollow. He is, however, able to produce "entertainment" by projecting the images of females he knows in reality onto the catwalks and can have males or females working the bars.
Zanpakuto Spirit:

KamiDoragon is just as his name translates, a spirit dragon. Surprisngly enough he is not limited to one single form, instead he possesses several that Karas has seen with the maximum appearing to range between three and four forms. These forms are split between humanoid and animal. The two human forms are interchangeable depending on Kami's mood. When KamiDoragon is happy and kind his appearance is of a man between eighteen and twenty-three years old with white-ish blue hair that reaches down to his mid back pulled into a pony-tail. Two bangs hang down on either side of his face. Coming out from just behing his ears KamiDoragon has what can only be described as horns in this form that extend from a cluster of scales. His attire is composed of a light blue t-shirt underneight a plain white dress shirt and blue jeans. His skin is slightly on the pale side, more like a woman's when described as snow giving him a "pretty" look in this form. He is always barefoot in both of his human forms.

When KamiDoragon is mad or enraged his appearance changes to a slightly different form than the one described above. In this form his hair is shorter and more shaggy, changing from white-blue to pitch black. His horns no longer extend out from behind his ears but instead curl down behind them and extend to just below the front of the ear. His attire changes as well. Rather than a blue t-shirt and white dress shirt he wears a red t-shirt under a long, black leather coat. His jeans become black and again he is barefoot. KamiDoragon also gains a red leather collar. In this form his skin becomes slightly tanned, giving him a more aggressive look. In all of his forms he has golden colored eyes.

Both of his animal forms are dragonoid in appearance, yet small and cuddley like plush animals. The appearance of each form again corrisponds to his mood. When happy his dragon form is white and blue with mixtures of silver and other colors that give him a star-like color scheme. His long wings are sort of raggedy and cloth-like but pure white. Each hand and foot has three claws on it. When enraged his form changes and his scales become red and black. His wings turn red lined by black. His horns extend out from the back of his head and there are three in total. Several spikes stick out from his hips/knees, his shoulders and the tips of his wings. He is still plush-like in this form.

KamiDoragon's personality is one of loyalty. No matter what persona he takes, be it angered or gentle-natured he still respects Karas due to the vizord having not tried to harness his power in the same way every other shinigami had with their spirit. Instead Karas gave him respect and created a partnership between the two rather than the typical master/servent type like the spirit originally believed all shinigami and their zanpak-to to form. Because of that respect KamiDoragon simply does as Karas asks out of respect for the warrior, granting him his powers through the bond they forged. He is always looking out for his partner and only wishes for the best for Karas.
Inner Hollow Description:
Karas' inner hollow, like the inner hollow of all Vizards, resembles him in virtually every aspect. However there are still many differences between the two. Karas' inner hollow, known as Sarak, has pale-white skin and glowing red pupils swimming in his black eyes. His hair is still long and silver and he wears the same clothing that Karas is at that moment in time. However Sarak's clothing are black where Karas' are white and red where the Vizard's are black. His personality is just as every bit of a smart-ass as Karas. The hollow can be cynical, insulting and often thirting for a good fight. Sarak has stated he isn't out to try and gain control of Karas nor of his powers, instead he has openly assisted Karas and given him more and more access to his hollow powers. The hollow claims that as long as Karas survives so does he and he will do whatever it takes to ensure both of them remain alive.
Shikai Description:

KamiDoragon's shikai is quite different from the typical shikai. While true shikai differ from shinigami to shinigami most often they retain some form of sword form still. For KamiDoragon that is not the case. Rather than becoming a weapon it becomes a sort of enhancement for Karas. Most noteably a set of gauntlets and matching greaves formed of a transparent dark crystal and held together by pure light. To compensate for the fact it isn't a weapon-based shikai a set of crystal daggers are formed from the remains of the original weapon to allow Karas to fight. The gauntlets have a wolf/dragon like motife where they are shaped like the heads of a dragonic/wolf-like creature, the mouths are obviously open and are positioned where from the side it would look like they are swallowing his hands from the wrist up. The full length of the gauntlets extend from just below his elbows to the top of the mouth which extends just over the backs of his hands. The greaves are slightly different and instead of having a head design turn Karas' legs from the knees down into humanoid wolf/dragon feet complete with claws at the ends of the "toes" of the boots.
The special proporties of these greaves and gauntlets is propulsion it seems. The gauntlets are able to expell light from the elbow ends rapidly enough to push his arm forward quicker, the speed building and allowing for stronger punches. The fist end of the gauntlets are capable of launching small blasts of concentrated light energy as attacks or solidifying the light around his fists to, again, increase the amount of damage delt by his punches. The greaves pose a similar ability and offer expulsion of light from the knees to propel kicks further and harder impacts. The foot part of the greaves has the same ability to expell light and propel Karas forward while running to increase his speed but at the same time they give the ability to cover his armored feet in light that can be released in a "wave-like blade" when he kicks. The gauntlets allow him to do so as well when he makes a chopping or sweeping motion but these are to a lesser degree.
Mask Description:

Karas' mask is veguely demonic in appearance with a single red line down the front that extends slightly out from the mask itself. Two more red lines branch off on either side of the main line where the ebrows would be and angle upards only to wrap around to the hollowed side like the first. The rest of the mask is a grey/silver colore with the exception of the teeth that are completely white. Because of as much training with his hollow powers as he has gotten or is getting Karas is able to keep his mask on for up to an entire day. The time can be eaten up depending on how much power he exhausts in combat. (Max combat time would be 5 posts, non combat time would be 10).With his mask on Karas' speed in enhanced as well as his physical strength. He has full access to his ever-growing collection of hollow powers such as cero's and faster regeneration than most shinigami. Karas is even capable of putting his mask on in fragments in order to appear as an arrancar when needed.

Karas is decently well rounded in terms of combat capabilities. While he mostly focuses on the physical aspects of battle he has some degree of control and knowledge of Kido. Because he wasn't normally interested in it he never devulged himself into it more than the nessecary Hado and Bakudo he already knows. This, to some degree, makes Kido specialized opponents difficult for him. He much rather prefers the head-on, fist-to-face approach to battling. He is, however, surprisingly adapt at using the three Kido spells he does know in combination with his had-to-hand fighting, often using such Kido as Bakudo number eight Seki at the perfect moment to block then counter strike against an opponent.
Because Karas has a love of fighting bare handed it doesn't mean he's above using weapons in combat. Having been trained by multiple combat instructors he's learned to use his sword rather adaptly when in its unreleased state. He has a love of knives and daggers and keeps several dozen hidden on his person at any given time. These can be used either as throwing knives/daggers or as a substitute for his sword. Because of the way his shikai is he often finds himself relying on these daggers and knives while in that state. Because of his training, and his fighting preference, Karas' speed and physical strength are extremely high. His speed alone is able to match his adoptive mother's quite easily and at times he is even capable of exceeding her. His defense doesn't suffer very much though it is not on-par with his other combat stats. He can take a good hit just as he is capable of giving one.

Name: Shunpo (Flash Step)
Class: Utility
Range: Personal
Description: The shinigami’s signature movement technique, using extreme speed and acceleration to overcome the eye’s capacity to trace movement. This ability can be used to travel quickly from one place to another, or in combat by a skilled practitioner to get a jump on the enemy. Using this skill repeatedly over the course of a battle is ill-advised, as it does not take long for the opponent’s eyes to adjust to the high-speed movement.

Description: Shinigami use this skill to transport Plus spirits, forcefully or otherwise, to Soul Society. This is a derivative of the zanpakuto’s natural ability to purify hollows by splitting their masks.

Description: This ability creates a dimensional opening to the Dangai space, used by Arrancar to travel to and from Hueco Mundo. Garganta is characterized by it’s rough, tearing appearance, as opposed to the very structured Senkaimon used by Shinigami.

Name: Cero (Hollow Flash)

Range: Long
Description: A heavy, wide energy blast emitted from the hand, mouth, or some other body part. Cero are highly destructive and can vary greatly from user to user, able to be fired in a thin column or a wide cone-shaped emanation as appropriate to the situation, and specialists in Cero have been known to change their color. The damaging aspects of a Cero are partly heat and burning energy (not fire) and partly physical concussive force.
Name: Chosoku Saisei (High-Speed Regeneration)

Description: This is a vastly accelerated version of the Hollow’s natural regeneration, which allows limbs and non-vital body parts to regenerate over-time. With a moment or two of concentration, an Arrancar can quickly regenerate a lost limb or body part (with the exception of vital organs) to continue fighting after sustaining a significant injury. Only very rare and specialized Arrancar possess this ability, as it is contradicting to the “tempering” aspect of Shini-Hollow Hybridization.
