Physical Description:
Seraph is often, if not always, seen wearing a long black coat that reach all the way down to his ankles. Silver colored pauldrons cover his shoulders, but oddly no pieces of his mask are visible on his face. These are actually the shoulder pauldrons that cover his shoulder. These remnants of his hollow mask are hard enough to protect Seraph from shoulder strikes, should it even occur. The top of the coat is open, revealing his sculpted chest and his hollow hole, located in the center of his chest with a diameter of 3 inches. His hollow hole however is covered by black leather suspenders that cross in front of the hole underneath his coat.
His hair is Silver in color and very long with bangs that are parted to the sides of his face. His eyes are green and have the appearance similar to a cat's eyes. He has a fair complexion that matches his silver hair. Also as noted in his personality he wears, naturally, a face of sorrow despite his true feelings. A slight frown is ever present on his face, unless in battle, and his eyes are usually half closed as if to keep from weeping. It is not rare to find him with his back hunched and his head drooped downward.

Personality Overview:
Seraph's personality can be described as cold and ruthless, though not completely. He is not one to be anti-social, and is known to make friends with his colleagues, and become loyal to them. However his attitude is grim to those he has no loyalty to, causing people to be turned away based on this personality trait. Seraph is intelligent and respect those he considers worthy of respect, such as the Espada or the Espada's Fraccion. Seraph tries to maintain a professional demeanor, but he is known to show dry humor to those he is loyal and friendly to.
At times he can be arrogant and over confident in his abilities, but for the most part corrects himself with a nice glass of reality. For the most part he is well spoken and even forgiving at times. Seraph sometimes becomes frustrated and loses his guard, but is usually calm and collected. Seraph is always in a state of mild sorrow, but due to the fact that he experienced it ever since becoming hollow, sorrow has dissolved into his overall personality. It is not rare to find Seraph with a face that reflects heavy sorrow, with drooping eyes and an ever present frown despite his true feelings.
During battle, his sorrowful expression is nowhere to be seen, no matter what the situation. Seraph enjoys battle, no matter who he is against. He often knows when he is outmatched, and even more so when he outmatches an opponent. Depending on either of these will he change is strategy from going all out, to holding back to produce maximum pleasure from his fights.

Human Life:
Seraph was born in the English colony of Boston in the New World on December 18, 1677. His parents were both brick masons and often left him to the care of his older First cousin, Alicia Gustaf. The two grew up to be great friends and were often seen in public together. His parents would die when Seraph turned 10, from a case of small pox. How they caught the disease was unknown to Seraph or his cousin, but maybe this was because he couldn't yet see the numerous spirits, both whole and hollow, that lived among Boston. During throughout Early American history, it has been a haven for hollows. The Aztecs and their multitudes of human sacrifices to the gods lured the Hollows in. The hollows would consume these sacrifices' souls, and in return left the Aztecs to their own devices. However the arrival of the Spanish ruined the Aztecs, so the mass hordes of hollows dispersed to many other Northern, Central, and Southern American settlements.
Of course some of the Hollows found their home at Boston, preying on the dead or dying, and even causing some of the deaths of the Boston populace like Seraph's parents. Seraph would never find out what happen to his parents, even when he himself becomes hollow at the age of 20 when he to died of small pox.
Hollow Life:
Seraph became a hollow on new years day, 1697. When becoming hollow, his mind could not take the transition, and lost all his memories. Seraph had become feral, feasting on many souls within the span of a hundred years due to the American Revolutionary war. After the war, souls became rarer than they were during the war due to Shinigami arriving in time to pass them on. Soon the multitudes of Hollow inside the United States Dispersed to the rest to other parts of the world. Seraph himself would go to Europe, where wars and souls were plentiful and ripe for the taking.
Small wars satisfied him barely, until he became more powerful due to his "Eating habits". When Napoleon's push to Russia started, Seraph followed close behind, collecting the souls of the recent dead. However Napoleon's invasion would be unsuccessful because of the Russian winter and heavy losses. The French turned back, but Seraph did not. Seraph had entered a state of calmness and intelligence he had not experienced since being human. He wondered why he had did what he did, why consume multitudes of innocent an not so innocent souls. He wondered slowly east, through the frozen wastelands for two years in deep thought, debating the fate of the rest of his hollow life. Should he punish himself for his crimes, or should he give in to the hollow inside of him? After two years of thought he decided. He decided to punish the hollow within him.
His wanderings had brought him to China's doorstep, the Great Wall. Upon that Great Wall he began to tear his mask off with his painful and sorrowful screams and screeches tormenting any who were spiritual sensitive in the nation the wall protected. He manage to collect his hollow self and sealed it, creating his Zanpakutō. However, unlike most Arrancars, Seraph stored the Zanpakutō within his soul and trained himself to summon it to his hands and dismiss it at will.
Upon transition from hollow to arrancar, Seraph lost all his memory of events before the end of the Napoleonic wars. Having lost his memory he assumed the name of Seraph, a name that Hollows commonly referred to him by. He wandered east into Japan, feeling strong and powerful presences there. At the time he arrived, Japan had finally started to industrialize, and in turn, expand. He took no part of the expansiveness that Japan was consumed with but rather, lived among the citizens day to day as he tried to figure out his purpose and possibly his past memories. By the time World War II came about, Seraph helped save several citizens of Tokyo from U.S. bombings. Near the end of the war, he could only watch in horror from a distance as Hiroshima and Nagasaki were burned to the ground with nuclear weapons. The best he could do was make sure, anonymously of course, that Shinigami found those poor souls and passed them on. Years would pass, and he would go in to dormancy for 60 years. Three years ago he awoke with wonder with the changing world. His discovery of the Espada and Sins have left him cautious. He respects both because of their power, but felt it unnecessary to join them. Deep down however it is because he feels unworthy to serve such a group, but he doesn't know why he feels this way. He would eventually join Grimmjow's Espada, and move up to rank 2.
Zanpakuto Information
Zanpakuto Name: Abisu - Abyss
Release Phrase: "Kage no naka ni ochiru" - Fall into the Shadows
Sealed Description:
- Length: 8 ft
Abyss in it's sealed form is basically a katana with a length of eight feet. Its Hilt color is a navy blue and its hilt guard is a gold color. The sheath to his Zanpakutō is rarely seen, but is a plain, solid black color. Seraph is able to convert his Zanpakutō into pure energy to store it within himself. He is able to summon it and dismiss it at will.
Resurreccion Description:
Changes to the sword's appearance is slight. The only thing that is different about the sword is the hilt. Both the hilt and the hilt guard is solid black during his Resurrección. There is some changes to his body however. His eyes become a more cyan color than green, and he grows a single black wing from his back. His aura becomes a black color and forms the outline of five more wings on his back with three on each side, fulfilling his name as Seraph.
Functionality:
The Growth of the physical wing does not at all insure Seraph's ability to fly. It does however increase his speed on the ground in ways such as a quicker dash. This also increases his ground dodge range by several feet in order to dodge bigger and more dangerous attacks. The wing does have its drawbacks. For one if it is used to augment his speed, it can be harder to slow himself down. Also, as the wing allows him to dodge bigger attacks, the extra weight can damage his ability to dodge smaller, simple attacks such as sword strikes.
The Wings created by his aura cannot be harmed by physical attacks like sword strikes but can be severed by energy based attacks. These five other wings allow him to fly and combat from the air. If any wing gets severed, another must be dismissed or severed to be able to fly. (Must have an even number of wings to fly, and obviously cannot fly without them)

Description: Seraph has a strong attatchment to his Zanpakuto, mentally and spiritually. Due to this attachment he learned to call upon the blade, causing it to condense into pure energy and move towards Seraph's hands, where it reforms. This technique is the only way to retrieve his weapon if he had "Dismissed" it. (See below)

Description: Through his mental and spiritual attachment to his blade, he has learned to condense his Zanpakuto to pure energy to call upon or store it within himself.
Name:Aoru -Inflame
Class: Offensive/Utility
Range: Short/Medium (due to Zanpakuto length)
Description: Seraph takes his power and forms it into the form of a flame and covers the blade with the flame. The sword would then leave a burning effect whenever he lands a slash with his sword. The technique has it's medical uses as he can use it to close wounds or stop bleeding due to its intense heat.
Name: Atarashī - Nova
Class: Offensive
Range: Long
Description:Similar to Bala and perhaps Cero, Seraph charges a ball of orange energy in his hand and fires it at the enemy. Once within a six foot radius The ball of energy splits into six other balls of energy and begins to surround and circle the enemy. With a downward motion of his sword the balls of energy embed themselves into the ground. With an upward motion a great pillar of fire is charged underneath the enemy's feet. The pillar of fire is around 12 feet in diameter and would travel upward to consume the enemy. Due to the extensive nature because the steps needed for the attack, many opportunities would be given for the enemy to dodge or prevent the attack.
The steps are broken down below and take one turn each to perform unless stated otherwise:
1):Charging- takes around 2 posts. Can still fight while charging but cannot use any other technique.
2):Firing: Firing the ball of energy and it splitting/embedding into the ground takes one post
3) Boom: The pillar of fire firing takes one post.
Combat Information

Character Dynamic:
Seraph is a swordsman, and prefers to settle situations with his blade. This doesn't mean he isn't powerful in his Reiryoku/Reiastu abilities. However his confort zone is around close to medium range and hates to fight a long ranged battle.
He uses his Reiryoku/Reiastu abilities to draw the enemy closer, ensure there is no escape, or to finish off a defeated enemy or to finish off an enemy that is to dangerous to enjoy a battle with. He prefers the use of Bala to distract the enemy and follow up with a Sonida to close in the gap of a ranged opponant. He is quite the expert in using the use of Sonida to dodge or throw off the defense of enemies.

Reiryoku/Reiatsu Abilities:
Name: Cero (Hollow Flash)
Class: Offensive
Range: Long
Description: A heavy, wide energy blast emitted from the hand, mouth, or some other body part. Cero are highly destructive and can vary greatly from user to user, able to be fired in a thin column or a wide cone-shaped emanation as appropriate to the situation, and specialists in Cero have been known to change their color. The damaging aspects of a Cero are partly heat and burning energy (not fire) and partly physical concussive force.
Name: Bala (Hollow Bullet)
Class: Offensive
Range: Medium
Description: Similar in appearance and execution to a Cero, Bala are compressed waves of Reiatsu (Spiritual Pressure) that strike with blunt force similar to that of a physical attack. Bala has been observed as being noticeably faster than Cero, but it’s lack of girth and explosive capacity limits its effectiveness as a weapon.
Name: Hierro (Steel Skin)
Class: Defensive
Range: Personal
Description: Using this ability, an Arrancar can compress their spiritual power into the outer extremities of the body, fortifying their skin against cutting and piercing to better suit fighting bare-handed against armed opponents. A small amount of focus is necessary to create and maintain this defense, and while it is generally strong enough to block a sealed zanpakuto, a user who is surprised becomes intimidated may lose some of its effectiveness in battle.
Name: Sonido (Sound Ceremony)
Class: Utility
Range: Personal
Description: The Arrancar’s signature movement technique, using extreme speed and acceleration to overcome the eye’s capacity to trace movement. This ability can be used to travel quickly from one place to another, or in combat by a skilled practitioner to get a jump on the enemy. Using this skill repeatedly over the course of a battle is ill-advised, as it does not take long for the opponent’s eyes to adjust to the high-speed movement. An Arrancar’s sonido is distinguished by it’s rough static buzz, which gives a vague impression of its speed.
Name: Pesquisa (Probe Circuit)
Class: Utility
Range: Personal
Description: Unlike the natural sense for Reiryoku that all spiritual entities have, Pesquisa allows an Arrancar to directly gauge the strength and position of spiritual beings through concentration. Using a wave or current of Reiatsu like a sonar, the user can identify the intensity of a single target’s Reiryoku or the rough location of a large number of spiritual entities in a given area, depending on the focus of the ability.
Name: Garganta (Black Cavity)
Class: Utility
Range: Close
Description: This ability creates a dimensional opening to the Dangai space, used by Arrancar to travel to and from Hueco Mundo. Garganta is characterized by it’s rough, tearing appearance, as opposed to the very structured Senkaimon used by Shinigami.
