Physical Description:
Arannis is fairly short only being a few inches above 5 foot, However his body is sleek and well toned for his size.His constant traing has honed his body giving him the appearance that he should have been a boxer. When calm he exudes a demeanor of being very uptight and proper almost to the point of being an aristocrat. If angered though he tends to become more arrogant and has more of a killing aura around him. His brown hair he keeps trimmed short and his crimson eyes normally are hidden behind his ever present wrap-around sunglasses. Arannis Normally can be seen wearing a white Hakama with Red and orange flames embroidered along the bottom.
Arannis speaks with a slight accent to what he says. For whatever reason his style of speaking carried over from when he was alive so to this day still he still sounds like a Spanish aristocrat. His normal behavior includes being always upright and formal, at least he is formal till his temper gets the better of him. He gets a Joker-esque evil grin on his face and his eyes almost look like they get redder as if the very fire he commands has erupted behind them. The remnants of his mask can be seen along his face almost giving him the appearance of a well trimmed beard and mustache as well as sideburns. His hollow hole can be found around his stomach the irony being that is the first place he was shot by the hit men sent to kill him.
Oh an interesting side note regarding the 'Flames' that surround him in his release. Early in fights when his demeanor is calm the fire surrounding him is calm and slow moving like a nice fire in a fireplace. As fights continue the fire seemingly gets angry with him as it gets hotter and wilder growing from a fireplace fire to a campfire to bonfire like and furnace fire to finally flames like you'd see inside a blast furnace when he gets really mad.
Personal Information
Personality Overview:
To say that Arannis is a hot head would be like saying that there's a little bit of water in the ocean. His temper is short and he makes impulsive decisions all the time. That's not to say that He is not a good strategist his temper tends to get in the way a lot. This does translate into the fact that Arannis tends to get what he wants though as he is stubborn to boot and doesn't mind fighting anything and everything to get it. That is not to say that he does not have honor though. As part of the upbringing he had Arannis mentally frowns on underhanded techniques preferring a straight fight to one that may be more advantageous.
Inside battle Arannis tends to start out fights cool and calm learning about his opponent preferring strategy and calculated moves to defeat his opponent but as fights progress his temper flares and he starts making brash decisions. He tends to use his resurrection fairly early on in fights as he is more at home with it than he is without it this also adds for an interesting effect should a careful eye notice it. (explained above) This is easily noticeable as he starts to trash talking more and refers to himself in third person almost to the point of being another personality, almost.
To go along with this Arannis in fights constantly fights against himself once his temper starts to flare. Its a constant battle between the cool, calm, calculating man that he normally tries to be; against the brash, arrogant, hot head who's favorite tactics are charging in blindly with out thought or care. He also has a lot less mercy when in his angered state he'll be more likely to torture his opponents than simply kill them outright like he would if calm.
For the most part Arannis is easy to get along with. He is nice to everyone and loves parties. As long as he remains calm he is the perfect gentleman. He is very proper and correct with his speech pattern's as well as being very nice to everyone. However, his temper has a very short fuze. If you do something to tick him off you can expect to at best be sliced in two or at worst those charred remains on the floor might very well be yours. This change in mood can be noticed by sudden change in personality, referencing himself in third person, evil grin seemingly plastered on his face, and all around change in demeanor.
Character Time-line:
Arannis before he died was the son of a fairly wealthy family in the southern part of Spain. Arannis had inherited his fathers business, and had married himself a beautiful wife named Esmeralda. In a time of arranged marriages The two of them actually met in a park and had gotten along well. So well in fact that Arannis had gone to both his father and her father to see if they would each approve of him dating her. With each blessing in hand (and the familys left to work out the details of the 'arranged' marriage) Arannis took her on her first date. Several months passed after their marriage and she gave birth to a wonderful son. By the time their son Ettoir was 4 Arannis had started teaching him the tools that he would need to take over the business when he decided to retire.
During this time, and without his knowledge, some of his fathers old rivals started planning and plotting his downfall. His father had angered them when he backed out of a deal that would have made them equals in the ownership of most of the business's in the area. Instead his father had secretly used the time during their negotiations to buy out many of the business's that they had been discussing. Finally putting him ahead of the others and allowing him to set the terms as it were.This greatly angered the others but they were unable to do anything about it till after Arannis's father had died and Arannis had taken over. Once that happened though they began making their plans to eliminate his whole family so that their would be no one left to claim ownership.
Arannis was able to maintain this for 15 years before some of his fathers old rivals caught up to him. In a devastating attack Arannis was killed. Next thing Arannis knew he was looking down at his body, well at the bottom of the river where his body had been thrown by the hit men after he had been killed. This filled Arannis with anger, not only had they killed him but they didn't even have enough respect to give him a proper burial. That's when a troubling thought crossed his mind, his wife and young son.
Arannis quickly flew over to where his house was located. All he was able to find though was ashes of the house and two bodies laying dead in front of it. Arannis's anger grew as he began hunting down the men that did this horrendous act. When he found the hit men he realized that all though he could not do much to them he was able to eat their soul from them. With that completed though he found that he was still angry and still hungry for more so he sat about hunting down the men that ordered the killing's. Even eating their souls he was still hungry. This went on for several years; Arannis constantly hunting through the streets eating souls and the few low seated Shinagami that stumbled into his city, his memory slowly fading as the lust for more power grew greater. That's when something interesting happened.
One day as he was searching around the city looking for any souls that he could devour he seen this strange man com out of what looked like a rift in the very air itself. The strange man seemed to be in a hurry as he quickly ran off in the opposite direction from where Arannis was; but the rift was still there though it looked like it was starting to close up. Arannis quickly slipped through the opening before it closed. With that he stumbled into Heuco Mundo.
Once he was in this new realm (as he thought of it) Arannis was very quickly jumped by several lower level Hollows looking for a quick kill. Arannis realized that he would need to get much, much stronger in order to survive in this new land. Arannis knew, though, that he would be right at home in this new land. With this knowledge in hand Arannis sets out to claim himself a section of this new land. Attacking and absorbing hollows then eventually lower level Gillian. With each kill Arannis finds himself growing stronger, faster.
Still it seemed that he was not strong enough. The voices inside him were growing, they were not too loud, but they were getting annoying. Not too mention that his territory was constantly being challenged forcing him to devour more hollows. Though with each kill Arannis could feel himself getting stronger, but it also meant another voice for him to try and put down. So far Arannis had managed to keep in control but it was starting to get difficult. Arannis Figured he just needed more power so he set about expanding his Territory. Eventually this led to him becoming a Menos.
With the new power though came new problems. All these souls that he was eating kept trying to take over his mind.
During the events that led up to the winter war Arannis had manged to keep himself out of that mess instead working on making himself stronger and asserting his will over the rest of the souls that now resided inside himself. Arannis had managed to not only dominate his soul above all the others but his strength had greatly improved though there was one thing that still bothered him. The mask that he wore it was annoying. Arannis hoped that with more power he could one day just take the thing off. Once the Winter war had broken out though the influx of energy from all the attacks in Heuco Mundo had done it though Arannis was finally able to rip his mask off. From here on out Arannis was sure things could only get better.
To which they did Arannis found that with his new found powers he was able to scrape himself out a little kingdom of his own in one of the farther reaches of Heuco Mundo. Arannis even found himself returning once again to the land of the living to challenge shinigami and eat there souls once he won. For this has what has kept Arannis in training for he is now searching for more power. In the 50 years since the end of the winter war Arannis has found others like him in the wastes of Heuco Mundo and has slowly started reaquainting himself with working with others. But at least for now the future is looking bright for Arannis.
Zanpakuto Information
Zanpakuto Name: Higitsune (Firefox)
Release Phrase: Akaruku kogasu watashi no teki o moyasu (Burn brightly and sear my enemies)
Sealed Description:
- Length: 3 and a half feet
With his zanpaktou sealed there is nothing much to show the power hidden with in. It is slightly long for a katana being about 3 ft 6 in in blade length with the handle being about another 8 inches on top of that bringing the whole length to just over 4 feet. The sheath for it is all black with some red flames down near the bottom. That is the only outward clue as to the power that Arannis controls within it.
Resurreccion Description:
When triggered Arannis flips his zanpaktou to a vertical position saying his Resurrection phrase as he does. His sword immediatly dissolves into his hands causing fire to ignite along them and two claw like objects spring forth from his wrists. These are able to be moved around so they can either be facing back along the forearm or straight out from the arm.
Upon entering his Resurrection Arannis slouches slightly as his skin and the area immediately surrounding him erupts in flames giving him the appearance of a fire fox. Two tails form up behind him connected to his tail bone made from fire, and he develops a half mask on his head made from fire that gives him the resemblance of a foxes head. His two incisors grow longer giving him fangs to go with the fox like look.
Functionality:
Arannis is strictly a hand to hand fighter this is shown in his release as much as in his fighting style. His short clawss don't have much range but he is able to use them completely ambidextrously using his speed and strength to his advantage in a fight. For the most part though his claws are slashing and stabbing weapons.

Name: Midori no honō no ha (Green flame blade)

Description: Upon uttering those words Arrannis's blades erupt in green colored fire making it so anything that touches them could get engulfed in fire or at the very least burned, singed or seared. One does need to come into contact for the fire to be effective though.
Name: Honō saikuron (flame cyclone)
Class: offensive
Range: max 10 feet single target
Description: swinging his dual swords in front of him Arannis forms a vortex of fire that he can fire off at someone or something with in 10 feet of himself threatening to engulf them in a fiery tornado, potential to burn sear, singe etc. The only problem is the range of the attack outside of 10 feet it is rather ineffective.

Character Dynamic:
Arannis for all his skill is still a hot head. His temper often gets in the way of him having either an easy win in a fight or even winning a fight. For all his temper though his speed and strength that comes from him always wanting to be better shows; often giving him the advantage he needs even when his temper gets the better of him. Arannis is strictly a hand to hand fighter, even to the point of his Cero is surprisingly weak. To combat this He has learned and developed a unique fighting style based off of this.
His temper does make long term fighting difficult as he mentally has to constantly fight himself with either using a tactically smart move or just simply rushing in with both weapons swinging. This mental fight bothers him a lot and especially with longer fights his arrogance and temper will eventually win out over tactics. Causing him to rely more on brute force and straight on tactics vs. thinking things out and using the more tactically smart move against his opponent. This results in him either winning him the fight or sending him home to recoup and recover.
Fighting Style:
Arannis holds one sword in a standard grip and one in a reverse grip mainly for his fighting once in his resurrection form. Before then, however, he is trained in Battoujutsu. He is trained in dispatching foes with a single strike and re-sheathing.
Once released though his true power is shown. His typical stance puts him with the reverse sword held about mid stomach with the blade pointing down and off to the left, while the standard grip is held about the level of the neck with the blade pointing back across his body. from this position he can easily respond to attacks made from any direction as well as attack from any direction though he favors using his right hand sword to lull his opponents into forgetting about his other sword using that one typically for surprise attacks.
As his temper flares though these tactics are forgotten as he changes over to a more brute force approach concentrating less on defense and more on offense. He will come in swinging instead of maneuvering to the tactically advantageous position.

Range: Long
Description: A heavy, wide energy blast emitted from the hand, mouth, or some other body part. Cero are highly destructive and can vary greatly from user to user, able to be fired in a thin column or a wide cone-shaped emanation as appropriate to the situation, and specialists in Cero have been known to change their color. The damaging aspects of a Cero are partly heat and burning energy (not fire) and partly physical concussive force. In Arannis's case though this is surprisingly weaker than most other Arrancars bala's
Name: Sonido (Sound Ceremony)
Class: Utility
Range: Personal
Description: The Arrancar’s signature movement technique, using extreme speed and acceleration to overcome the eye’s capacity to trace movement. This ability can be used to travel quickly from one place to another, or in combat by a skilled practitioner to get a jump on the enemy. Using this skill repeatedly over the course of a battle is ill-advised, as it does not take long for the opponent’s eyes to adjust to the high-speed movement. An Arrancar’s sonido is distinguished by it’s rough static buzz, which gives a vague impression of its speed.

Description: This ability creates a dimensional opening to the Dangai space, used by Arrancar to travel to and from Hueco Mundo. Garganta is characterized by it’s rough, tearing appearance, as opposed to the very structured Senkaimon used by Shinigami.
