Personal Information
Personality Overview:
In a word, Nadi is bipolar. Her emotions can hit their extremes and completely change in a heartbeat. For instance, she can be absolutely furious one second to being happy go lucky and making jokes. Though she does try to keep her bipolar nature hidden, what she spends most of the time shrouding in secrets is the fact that underneath the innocent little child is a cruel, malicious "monster". She finds amusement in causing trouble and even in people's pain. For lack of a better word, she is simply terrifying. Not terrifying how most would think but terrifying nonetheless. She can even be completely innocent and childish at times, seeking none other than a reason to smile or even a game to play. In short, she loves attention in all things, except when she's trying to be inconspicuous. In most cases, she has an adorable little grin on her face that just oozes innocence, that is until you turn your back of course.
She absolutely hates people who are mean, people who break promises, and people who break rules. She'll even go so far as nearly destroying herself so she can destroy the guilty one. Even though its something she hates in others, she has no issues bending the rules a little if they'll help her stay ahead of the game. She is easily distracted by the things she likes and will openly go about chasing after those things. The things she likes vary depending on her mood but a surefire way to get her out of a bad mood is to hand her something cute. Although distractable, she doesn't easily forget what her mission or her duty is even if she does pull the usual "blonde moment" and pretends to forget.
She can be utterly manipulative, even being able to shift her personality completely from the monstrous little beast to a gentle easily scared little girl. To her, this is a game. A game in which everyone is a piece and all she has to do is gather the correct pieces and the game will fall into her hands. She thinks of herself as the perfect little actress, able to hide her somewhat psychotic tendencies from people rather easily. Though she is secretive, she is also bold and straightforward, able to walk up to someone and openly express her thoughts about them. Unless of course she doesn't want to.
Character Time-line:
To put it simply, Nadalya is the bastard child of Arianna's father as the result of a year long affair. She was born only a couple months after Arianna and grew up never knowing about her father's other family. She was born in the year 1939 on the day dubbed by many as 'the winter solstice'. Some thought it was a terrible misfortune that she had been born on one of the "witch's holidays". People were skeptical about her birth and being born with white hair and pale lavender eyes only started rumors.
She grew up with just her mother and always believed that she was an only child. As a young child, she frequently played outside in the flower garden and quickly took a liking to the roses, especially the white ones. She was a mannered little girl and seemed to be the child of every mother's dreams. At least that's how things were before her father died at war and someone came to deliver the news. She was about nine years old when she learned of her father's death and that her mother and her were cut off from anything her father had left. Fair? To her, the answer was simple. No. It was also at that time that she learned she had a sister, a half sister, that had no idea of her or her mother's existence. It was a blissful thing to live in ignorance but Nadalya decided she wanted to make sure her dear 'sister' paid for that ignorance. It wasn't something a normal nine year old would be thinking of but then again she wasn't your average kid.
The thought of payback was a delight to her and it dramatically changed her demeanor. During her usual stroll through the garden, she started thinking of what exactly she was going to do when a soft crunch sounded from under her shoe.
Looking down, she saw a poor little bug squished. She didn't feel bad about it, not one bit. Instead she smiled, finding it funny that something so resourceful could be destroyed so easily. It amused her enough that it started twisting her into a cruel, malicious child.
A year later, her mother had gotten a maid to stay with her daughter while she was off at work. Left alone with the maid was always fun for young Nadi. She enjoyed the time spent with her new plaything. Nadalya always acted the childish, spoiled little girl but that was when it was just her and the maid. Should anyone else be around she would hide behind the gentle easily scared side of her personality that people had come to know and love.
During the four years that the maid took care of Nadalya, the maid began to notice that some of the malice in her had started to become more evident. She could wear a gentle, kind smile and yet completely shatter a person with just her words. What made it worse was that Nadalya always meant what she said. During those four years, the maid became almost like her 'whipping boy', taking every punishment that came towards the Miss. Nadalya abused that and would purposely cause trouble so that the maid would get in trouble when people returned. Although this amused her, it just wasn't enough to make her happy. Not even her usual strolls through the garden helped. All the garden did was make her vulnerable. Vulnerable to the point where she met her end.
December 28th. One week after her fourteenth birthday, she was killed. It had started like any other day, with her waking up and getting dressed before heading out to the garden. She had taken a small pair of scissors with her when she went outside, intending to trim the roses. While cutting one of the stems of the fragile looking flowers, a thorn pricked her finger and she looked at the speck of red curiously. The last words she spoke were "How pretty", commenting on the drop of crimson, before the maid crept up silently behind her. The maid had gotten tired of Nadalya's constant abuse and had decided to end it there before the mother got home. The maid stabbed the unsuspecting teen from behind, drawing a sharp gasp before stabbing her again to make sure she died. Nadalya fell forward, into the white roses, and lay in a pool of crimson that painted the roses ever so slightly. Afraid of what had happened, the maid fled, never to be seen again.
The day Nadalya had died, she had begun to feel remorse for the actions she had taken. She had felt terrible about what she had done. With regret and remorse holding her back, her spirit remained as the life fled from her body. Seeing the maid with the blood stained knife as she fled, angered her greatly to the point that she believed she hadn't been hard enough on the woman. Anger and resentment and the lurking bitterness about her father's "other" forced her to remain trapped in a nightmare.
The first thing she did while trapped in this never ending nightmare, was attend her own funeral. It did make her happy to see how many people would actually miss her even though she wasn't exactly kind but it also mad her sad. Why it made her sad, she didn't know. There was a lot she didn't understand about that day. But it would soon be a fragment of memory lost in time to her.
The first few months of her new life as a spirit she spent watching various musicians and artists enjoy their craft. She learned to appreciate what it was they called 'art' and even sought to learn the trade. It took up to a year for her to understand the piano and learn by watching how to play it. Though she never got to really practice, she did memorize the keys and the information she learned. Art on the other hand was something else. It was something she did have an appreciation for but was something she would rather admire than create.
After those few months of watching she began to grow bored and the chain on her chest grew shorter. The chain on her chest escaped her notice since she didn't truly understand its purpose. Bored already with her surroundings she decided she needed a change of scenery and made her way to a small town. This town was a quaint little place that seemed a little too peaceful but still looked like a good place to be. It was here that she first someone who could see and hear her. It was exciting to finally meet someone capable of such a thing. She became fast friends with the townsperson but kept most of her natural habits to herself. She had decided to stay in the small town until it bored her or until something stupid happened to her playmate.
A few years later, the town had started to grow boring enough that she wished something would happen. That night she learned what the saying 'be careful what you wish for' meant. That night a hollow attacked. It was an enormous octopus looking creature with reddish flesh. Its mask was white as ivory and resembled a grotesque face. There were two holes for eyes and those eyes held Nadalya's attention. Bright piercing yellow eyes that scanned the village for a moment before seeing her friend. The hollow quickly went after the young townsfolk and had started its attack when it noticed her. Launching itself at her, Nadalya thought it was over, when a shinigami appeared. The shinigami quickly dispatched the hollow with a single strike to the mask and turned his attention on her. Terror washed over her, afraid at what was yet to come but yet somehow at ease. The shinigami said a few words to her before smiling and sending her to "a better place", as he put it.
Upon awakening, she found herself in a place that the other souls called Junrinan in a place called West Rukongai. Curious about this new place she explored the area and learned that this was one of the better Districts, being closer to the Seireitei. Being somewhere she considered foreign, she allowed herself to sink back into her old innocent self and made friends with a couple of the local children. Here, it seemed families weren't really families at all but groups of people living together. Personally she didn't like the idea but went along with it, as it gave her shelter and some company.
As time went on, she grew accustomed to living in the District and living with the other souls there. Shortly after getting adjusted to her new life in Rukongai, one of the children she had been living with was getting attacked by a group of older, nastier bullies. Although the disturbance amused her, it also annoyed her greatly. So she walked up to the very people causing the disturbance and smiled her best angelic smile. It was believable to the point where the words she spoke simply tore the bullies apart from the inside. After this incident, the children she lived with looked up to her to keep them safe. Normally, this wouldn't have been something for her to be happy about but the experience helped her grow up. It helped her try to wash away some of her past, even if she secretly wished to go back to how it was.
To her, her new life was interesting. She got to have fun and keep people away from those she lived with. Occasionally, a shinigami would even pass through on their way to train. Curiosity, the killer of many cats, intrigued her and a handful of other children to follow one of the shinigami on the next visit. The children watched in awe as the shinigami trained with their zanpakuto and with what they called kido. It was strange and yet compelling at the same time. Some of the children left but Nadalya and two others stayed to watch. The shinigami were able to protect others easily. They were strong enough to do so. Thinking of her newfound 'family', Nadalya decided she wanted to become a shinigami one day. Not today because the time wasn't right. But one day when the opportunity presented itself.
After that day, Nadalya went out every night and tried training herself. It was harder than it seemed. Much harder. On her third night of self training, she came across someone two years older than her that had been doing the same thing that she had. With that meeting came an idea. The idea was to train together since the benefits would be greater for both that way. Over the span of months, Nadalya had been shown the basics of Hakuda, hand to hand combat, and was beginning to excel in it. After some time she was able to pinpoint her training partner's weak points and help improve them. This training alone took up much of her time and even served as entertainment for the children she lived with as well as people passing by.
Early one morning after her sparring session, she collapsed. It was as if all the energy in her body had been drained in a single moment. It was strange to her, feeling this weak. She got back up with a little help from someone who had been watching the little sparring session. From what the stranger said, he was an unseated shinigami in the eighth squad and had been watching them spar on his days off. For simple souls, both Nadalya and her companion had caught the attention of a shinigami. Both of them were nervous and a little scared at what the shinigami was going to say. Instead of shutting the sparring sessions down like they had thought, the shinigami offered them a small snack and started telling them about Shinoreijutsuin, The Shinigami Academy as the people of Rukongai referred to it. Considering the shinigami's words, she accepted the offer and went to train there, hopefully to one day become a shinigami herself.

Combat Information
Reiryoku Level: {Leave this blank}
Character Dynamic:
Nadi enjoys getting in people's minds and causing confusion and anger. She uses her disposition and her nature to her advantage to try and provoke whomever she is facing off against. The way she sees the whole situation, is as a game. Everyone and everything are just pieces in a game and its up to her to put the pieces where they belong. In a combat situation, she appears to be a little more thoughtful and discreet about her overall plan. She may seem a little wild, but once someone understands her mind she becomes much too predictable. Her most often used plan is pitting people against each other so that she doesn't have to fight directly. Overall, her mood is what controls her actions, each emotion highlighting different aspects of her personality as she uses them to help her in a fight even with the chance that someone can use those against her.
