Alias/Titles: Ai | Rose | Poppet
Gender: Female
True Age: 334
Birthday: January 23rd
Division: 4th Division
Rank: 6th SeatAppearance Information
Apparent Age: 27
Height: 4'8 ½”
Weight: 112 lbs.
Eye Color: Blue-green
Hair Color: Red
Physical Description:twirling in your twirly dress,
you're the loveliest, far above the rest
Noa's appearance is one that calms people, beautiful and frail. At one point, upon seeing her at his bedside, one of her patients awoke just long enough to ask if she was an angel. She looks extremely fitting as someone in 4th, for the very idea of someone like her fighting is almost unthinkable. Despite the fact that she holds herself strong, she always seems to look delicate, and in the rush of things is often overlooked or pushed aside to make way for the bigger, stronger-looking Shinigami.
First of all, she is surprisingly small. Considering how loud her voice can be and how strong her personality is, it's comical that Noa is such a petite woman. She stands at a humorous four foot eight and is extremely slim to match, though she much prefers to refer to herself as “compact”. (Others have called her “fun-sized, when they have a death wish.) Though she is nowhere near as muscular as some of her comrades, she is very agile and flexible, with thin limbs and a swift quality coming from years of hiding, climbing and dodging the attacks of opponents bigger and more powerful than she. When she is moving, she is moving swiftly and without distraction. There is never a moment of slow, leisurely strolling with Noa. She is always walking in a rush, running off to meet someone or accomplish something. The energy around her tends to crackle with all the energy and life she holds inside her.
Noa has been compared multiple times in her life to a life-sized doll. She has an androgynous appearance, with a body that is at first glance shapeless and a face that really could go either way. Due to her lack of combat, her skin has very few scars, scrapes or blemishes, giving her a flawless first impression. The smallest bump will give her bruises and the tiniest scrape often looks inflamed and serious on her pale skin. Her face is almost regal in structure and her green eyes are brightly colored to compliment her pale skin. A long wave of light red hair falls to the middle of her back. While she usually lets it remain down, whenever she is called to work she puts it in a very sloppy braid.
Noa is, much to the dismay of some people around her, not horribly feminine or decorative in the way she dresses. She prefers being functional and practical on the job, rather than being decorative or pretty. Even off work, she doesn't particularly like dressing up. She wears the standard Shinigami uniform with absolutely no decoration or personal touches. Her zanpakuto is tied to her arm, a detail so unremarkable that most people don't even notice it. When she is off duty, though, she dresses with a bit more color and life. Her style is very Eastern and, though bright, is not excessively feminine. She prefers pants to skirts, long shirts to pretty blouses, plain fabric to bells and whistles. She also dresses like that in her gigai. She is almost tomboyish in the way she dresses, sometimes even managing to pass as a (very feminine) boy.Personal Information
Personality Overview:lights will guide you home,
and i will try to fix you
Despite her small stature, Noa is a strong woman. That is often the first word that comes to mind when attempting to describe her, and a word that could not possibly be more accurate. Noa is the kind of person who will never back down, no matter how small the battle. She has a quiet determination and drive that fuels her every action. Her personality is not hot and out of control like a fire, but strong and sure like a river that has run for centuries. She is determined to prove that the smallest actions can make a difference if the right person stands behind them. She is stubborn and unyielding, passionate and certain. Once she has her mind set on something, she believes in it absolutely, and nothing will shake her faith. This also means, however, that some of the river's more unsightly personality traits are also very deeply engrained in her soul.
Noa is headstrong and stubborn, often holding onto something or going down a specific path because she said she was going to, and she is too damned proud to let go. Her pride is almost enough to hold her back; she doesn't like to admit defeat, she doesn't like to admit she's wrong, and she doesn't like to let go of things that she believes in. It takes a great deal of pestering to get her to verbally admit her own defeat, and she always likes to get the last word in. She can be very rough around the edges, but she really does mean well. She can get very hard to deal with sometimes only because she doesn't take crap from anyone and won't let anyone else take crap either. Being her friend can be hard in more ways than one, because in addition to putting up with her, you also have to deal with her constantly pushing you to be better.
Noa's personality is based around her compassion and desire to help others. The trait that fuels her place in 4th is her strong desire to help people which, when mixed with her stubborn pigheadedness, means she will never back down or abandon someone in need, and she will not give up in trying to save someone. She has a bit of a rough bedside manner, often resorting to manhandling her patients and making the most of her knowledge to get them to do what she wants. But she really is an amazing doctor, for there is nothing that means more to her than another's life, even if that life was not one that was necessarily entrusted to her. Noa has the strangest bleeding heart in the world, and is unable to stand by if she knows someone is in need. Of course, her treatment will be accompanied by harsh words and scoldings at how you got yourself so beat up in the first place. These strong words, however, are merely to mask the fact that, on the inside, she is actually quite a kind person.
Noa believes only in her own strength. The idea of relying on someone else is repulsive and alien to her, and she refuses to be lumped with the other foolish stereotypes of “weak” and “useless” that come not only from her gender and appearance, but also from her Division and her specialties. She is always striving to prove to those who doubt her that she is not to be taken lightly. She is always seeking to better herself and become stronger, for most of her life has been spent being protected or pushed aside by those around her. Her youthful days of being soft-spoken and quiet are just that, a forgotten thing of the past, making way for the loud, fighty woman she had become today.
Character Time-line:Life as a Human – Childhood
Noa's life begins with a love story.Once upon a time, there was a village. It was a grand and thriving village, untouched by such things as poverty and sickness. In this village there lived a man, and in this village there lived a woman, both from wealthy families. They had been friends since their childhood, and no one was surprised when their friendship grew to love, that love grew to to marriage and, finally, that culminated into a perfect child, a beautiful daughter with stunning red hair and brilliant green eyes. The birth was a surprise and a miracle, for both of her parents had been told that they could not have children. And so immediately, she was received with much love and wonder, a sign that the gods smiled upon the couple and their pure love.
The girl was named Jouda Noa, “my love”, for it was true that there was hardly ever a child born into this world who was loved as much as she was. She was so beautiful, but so tiny, and all in the village swore to love and protect the child born to their two most beloved people. Even those who hated her parents couldn't help but fall for the quiet charms of the girl-child.
Noa as a child was vastly different than the person she would grow to be. She was a quiet and jumpy little girl who was afraid of her own shadow. She hid behind people bigger than her, she turned to someone else for the smallest matters, and she would never go anywhere unless someone agreed to go with her. She was spoiled, but too afraid of loud noises to be a brat about it. She was also extremely clingy; she always had to be in sight of at least one of her parents. Of course, everyone loved her too much to call her out, but it was this weakness that later inspired her to be stronger.
Noa's life, from the beginning, looked like it might be a mirror of her parents. For the most part, she was untouched by tragedy and horror. When she was four years old, she met a boy named Kira, and the two were two peas in a pod. They were very close and even from a young age people predicted that the two would marry. Of course, this was a fate that was sealed when their families betrothed them, a fact that of course meant next to nothing to their young minds.
When Noa was just a child, it became obvious that she was different than other people. Though she paid it no mind, her father noticed one day that she was speaking to something that wasn't there. Though he would normally have chalked it up to a child's imagination, the name she applied for the thing-that-wasn't was one that was achingly familiar: Akira, the name of his younger brother who had died shortly before. Since she had never met the man, it was impossible for her to have ever heard his name, and yet she called him 'Uncle'. Later, he mentioned it to her mother, and the woman pulled her daughter aside to explain to her something that had been revealed to her when she was a young girl: the existence of spirits and worlds other than their own. Though they knew nothing of Shinigami or Hollows, there were many legends and myths to keep their minds entertained and confused at the world of spirits.
To Noa, ghosts were just more people to love her, more people to talk to when she felt upset. The ghost of her uncle, while he was around, was almost closer to her than any living person.Life as a Human – As a Young Adult
As it often tends to do, life grew more complicated and painful for Noa as she grew older. In the winter of Noa's eleventh year, she, her parents, and several people around the household fell seriously ill. There were many days, many minutes when she truly believed she was going to die, and more moments when she felt the same concern for her parents and friends. The thought of losing them, or losing herself, was something that was utterly horrifying to the child, and was responsible for an extreme change in her personality.
Many people died that winter. Though Noa and her parents survived the storm, they were all weak in body, and none of them completely recovered from that illness. They actually spent all of the rest of their lives living with the aftermath of that one horrible sickness, which ravaged their bodies and left them barely hanging onto life at every moment.
As weakened as it left her, though, Noa hung onto her bright spirit for the sake of those around her, especially for Kira. In those years since they had been best friends and gotten betrothed, she had come to love him as was fitting of their arrangement, and the thought of leaving him behind utterly killed her. She tried her best to be happy like she had been before, but now she felt different. She hadn't really paid attention before to how she was whisked away when there was trouble, to how people would tell her gentle lies when she asked difficult questions. She was becoming old enough to realize that she was being shielded from the world to the point where it would break her.
But despite knowing this...Noa was too scared of the world to break away. Even though she knew she was being kept from the scary and dangerous things in the world, she was too afraid of those things to try and go out, to break through the walls that other people had erected for her.
But this fear of the world didn't stop her from knowing that, even if she was the one being protected, there was still something she could contribute. As soon as she was well enough, Noa began to summon and meet every healer she heard of or spoke of or even saw walking in the streets. "Teach me what you know," she implored them. "Help me better myself so that those around me don't have to suffer." She learned as much as she could, devoting many days to memorizing and practicing the methods and herbs she learned about from her guests. It was no surprise when she became a truly gifted and caring healer, caring for those who were injured or sick around her house. Her true goal, however, was to find a way to heal her parents. Her father had been growing steadily sick over the years, and out of misery her mother was drifting away also.
Though Noa was by no means a genius, she had an excellent memory and a way of seeing things that others did not. She was impressive and gifted, despite her very young age. The time soon came when word spread out of Noa's impressive abilities. People would travel for miles to be healed by her, for they all knew she was too weak herself to travel very far. She did her best to heal all who came to her, but every time she lost someone, she grew more guilty, more sad, and more dark. While she had the skill to be a healer, at the moment she did not have the mental stability. Depression set in, even though she healed person after person, the ghosts of those she could not save her haunted her nightmares.Death and Rebirth
A loved life ends too quickly, and with far too much misery.Though no death is a joyous occasion, Noa's death was one that truly was a depressing affair. Though the world would be told that her already very weak heart gave out, the truth of the matter was that Noa poisoned herself after literally seeing the ghost of a little girl she had failed to heal. Though the girl didn't blame Noa, Noa blamed herself, and that proved to be the straw that broke her back. She bid her parents goodnight, asked Kira to leave her alone, and poisoned her own dinner. She didn't choose a very painless poison, either.
And thus Jouda Noa, affectionately called the most loved girl in the world, died on the eve of her eighteenth birthday.
Noa doesn't remember much about her time as a spirit, or the beginning of her stay in Rukungai. She remembered the shock that almost killed her twice, she swears. She wandered around for what felt like centuries, exposed to the harsh world she had been shielded from her entire human life. This new place, this new world where everyone struggled to survive, inspired a determination in her that had only partially been inflamed by her healing days. After being kicked down time and time and time again, Noa was forced to realize a horrible truth: that she was extremely weak. She had lived so long under the protection and tutelage of others that her own strength was next to none.
And thus her determination was born. Without a shadow of a doubt, Noa knew she would grow stronger, even if she had to give up everything she had to do it...an act she had already perfected. Her days were not filled with joy as they had been before, as now she carried the deaths of others and her own death on her hands, a fact that still haunts her to this day and fills her with guilt. She made a very weak promise to never heal again, convinced now that she would never do any good.
But Noa's misery, which was not in the slightest eased by her goals, was lessened when she was given shelter by a small group of teens. At the time, they were four, though that number would change. One of them had found her collapsed from hunger in the streets and dragged her to what was at the time their hideout. She woke up to see eight wide, curious eyes staring down at her.
Needless to say, she freaked out.
After her admittedly very amusing reaction, the four decided to feed her, and there it began. As easy as that, Noa found a family again. This time...this time she wouldn't leave them as easily. This new body was only a bit stronger the one she had left behind, and so she was determined to make the best of it. Even from then, she wanted to be stronger.
Noa broke her own promise to herself without even realizing it. The group got into such trouble sometimes that she couldn't stand standing by and letting them stay injured. She helped them when they fell sick, when they got hurt, whenever they needed her. It made her feel good, it made her feel needed, it made her feel worthy of something. She was a bit different from the rest, a bit more concerned with herself and the world around her, and being slower and weaker than the others, she often was left behind or sat out.
As time went on, a few more people joined the group until their numbers grew to eight. And when the final two joined the group, Noa didn't know it, but her life had been shifted. Among the last to join was a boy named Juro. He was a bit like her, not like the rest, though she was, oddly enough, more involved in the group than he was. He was often left out because he was sick, and so when she was left behind during some of the group's antics, she was no longer alone. A close friendship grew between the two of them, the ones the others had left behind. Just as she had with her parents, Noa found that she could not fix Juro any more than she could fix herself, a source of great guilt for her. But she shared with him her dreams of being stronger, of beign good enough to survive on her own and to be able to save any life she tried to save, even then a small part of her knew that she could not save everyone.
As time went on, however, Noa's spirit began to calm. She healed those she met on the road who were sick, and slowly but surely the resentment and the guilt began to wear away. She still desired strength, but she was no longer crippled by the guilt and insecurity that stilled her hand. Just as before, this change was so subtle, so natural for her that she didn't even realize it happened.
She began to dedicate herself once again to the study of medicine, this time wanting to help Juro more than herself. Like her, he wanted to be stronger, and she was sure that if she could just find the right way to heal him, she could do it. She would help him get stronger, and in the process she would strengthen herself, and then she could stand at his side when he shone.
And yet, when Juro asked her if she wanted to become a Shinigami, Noa could not have been more shocked. She was literally knocked speechless. To her, a stupider idea could not have been spoken. She had heard, of course, of Shinigami, but she was not as knowledgeable about them as those who had grown up or even spent more time in Rukungai. Though she had been there for quite some time, she didn't pay that much attention to the world in her mad dash for power. But Juro was persistent, asking her and reasoning with her and educating her until she agreed.
By some strange miracle that to this day Noa says she cannot comprehend, both Juro and Noa were accepted. Though Noa had never had doubts that Juro would get in, having unshakable faith in him, she had not known about herself. Her reiryoku was nowhere near as strong as his, as that was evidently not where her talents were settling. Regardless of that, however, once again, Noa's life shifted in a way she didn't quite foresee.Academy Days
A rivalry is born and a lifelong goal of Noa's begins to suddenly seem much less impossible.Though she had protested initially to the life, Noa took to the Academy rather quickly. Her eagerness to learn more in the ways of medicine and healing and combat helped her soar through the academic portions of the curriculum, though she was often disappointed with herself when it came time for her to engage in combat. It almost didn't matter who she went up against, she almost always lost. Only in Kido did she have any real talent, and that skill was far from polished.
Juro, Noa's stronger friend and close companion, could now add being her rival and training partner to his list of relationship requirements. Noa felt challenged and inspired by how much Juro excelled in matters of strength and combat when compared to her own failures, and constantly they challenged each others to duels. Being much smaller and weaker than him, Noa was often at a physical disadvantage and had to rely on other tricks to win, as she often still does. At times, she was accused of "fighting dirty". But they set up a system that the winner of one duel would make the conditions of the next, and so by the end of the year, they were fairly even in their fights (Noa can actually tell you their exact win/lose numbers, though never while Juro's in earshot; she'll never let him know many battles he actually won for fear of inflating his ego).
The battles rose in intensity and strength as the two grew, and as they did, Juro won more and more. Refusing to take the lose lying down, Noa tried harder and harder to beat him, though by the time they became officers, Juro still had racked up far more wins than she had. In a rather amusing turn, she often took time to heal his wounds between duels, with the sometimes rather weak excuse that she wanted to fight him at full strength.
Their final duel at the Academy was one that Noa would always remember. It was set up to determine who would emerge victorious in their days, who had progressed the most. Honestly, Noa felt she always knew who was going to win, but being as proud as she was, she was not one to back down. It was a fierce fight, perhaps more than any of their other clashes. In a moment that sends chills down her spine just to remember, two strong voices rang out, calling the previously unknown zanpakuto to life."Ten o magirasu, Koinami!"
"Kizamu, Nuibari!"
Even with the boost she received from her shikai, however, that duel had already been extremely taxing, and she lost, though she is extremely proud to note that it was an extremely close victory for her larger friend.
Noa's graduation was one of the proudest days of her life. She had worked extremely hard during her Academy days, and while she still came out of it no better off than your average Shinigami, for the moment, that was sufficient. She was glad to have survived at all. For the most part, she found herself too busy to pick fights, as it was in her last year at the Academy that her personality began to flare up and she revealed her, ironically, fiery side.As a Shinigami
An undesired stalemate is created, and a new ladder to climb is placed before the rose.Of course, Fourth Division was Noa's ultimate destination following her graduation, and for the first time since she'd come to know him, she was not in constant contact with Juro. She both despised and cherished this fact, torn between elation at being independence and loneliness as she was denied access to the person she had truly grown up with. But she found some friends in 4th, though they all quickly learned to be wary of her. She quickly proved that she was not going to take the same abuse the others took, and often pushed any of her companions to fight back as well. She gained a host of amusing nicknames referring to this habit, nicknames she brushes off even though they actually make her somewhat proud.
Once she became an officer, new obstacles were placed before Noa other than just the social stigmas she carried. As she was now eager to prove her own strength, she saw an opportunity in the seats. She would never be content with being an unseated officer, and so even after she graduated, Noa continued to train. She even continued her duels with Juro, though they became less frequent now that they both had work to do. Though she had focused on the medical aspects in school, Noa now saw a chance to expand, and attempted to spread into other areas as well, mostly meeting extreme failure.
Hand-to-hand combat and Zanjutsu were attempts Noa would rather not look back on. She was so bad at Zanjutsu that she has actually sworn never to pick up a sword in battle again. In hand-to-hand, her main issue was her complete lack of physical strength, and her difficulty at gaining any. To this day, that is something she is still trying to rectify. In Kido, however, she found that she excelled easily. Encouraged, she pursued this, and slowly but surely, her tireless training began to pay off. She rose up, though not as quickly as she’d like. In fact, her promotion to 6th seat is rather recent. Her training, however, is far from over, and in fact she is working harder than ever, towards a goal even she is not totally certain of.Zanpakuto Information
Zanpakuto Name: Koinami (“Wave Koi”)
Ability Type: Elemental | Water
Release Phrase: “Ten o magirasu, Koinami!” (Drown the heavens, Koinami!”)
Sealed Description:
Length: 1'9”
Koinami's unreleased form is almost laughable. She is just as short compared to her peers as her mistress, a length fitted to match Noa's small stature. It is more of a knife than a sword, barely more than a foot and a half in length. As Noa rarely uses it in combat, there is really no need for it to be big or sturdy, so it isn't. She keeps it tied to her right sleeve, where it is easily accessible. Of course, she wouldn't dream of using such a weapon in combat, and so the knife comes out very rarely...rare enough that few even know it is her zanpakuto.
Koinami is just as simply decorative as Noa herself. The sheath is deep red with dark green and blue embroidery. There is a single black ribbon she uses to tie it to her arm.
Inner World:
When conversing with her Zanpakuto, Noa will find herself standing in a river, surrounded by trees and beautiful green foliage. A road is visible in the distance, and occasionally there is a figure standing there, as if waiting for someone. The river itself may be wild and raging, calm and silent, busy and babbling, depending on Noa's mood or her outlook. It can be a river that is deeper than she is tall or a shallow trickle barely running over her feet, entirely depending on how strong she is feeling at the moment. Flashes of silver run through it, all that is visible of the outlandish fish that run through. Noa will usually seat herself on the bank of the river while Koinami is bound to the river itself.
Zanpakuto Spirit:
Koinami takes the spiritual form of a young girl, dressed formally in bright colors. Many layers lay over her small form, and expensive accessories adorn her hair and wrists. She seems to be no older than four or five years old. Her voice, however, is extremely off-putting; contrary to her appearance, Koinami's voice is that of a full-grown woman's...in fact, it is Noa's voice. This often makes Noa uncomfortable, as she feels sometimes as if she is talking to herself, and if Koinami speaks, Noa can sometimes wonder if she is speaking out loud.
Koinami's personality is a bit of a mystery, even to Noa. She speaks in single sentences that sound more like rhymes from nursery lullabies than advice or support. In spite of this, she actually talks quite a lot, and is prone to rambling, often making absolutely no sense while she does so. She is rather juvenile, however, in that her mind and attention wander easily, and she tends to zone out or forget things said to her. Sometimes, though, it seems like she is zoning out just to be mocking, ignoring the words spoken to her just for the sake of being a pain.
Shikai Description:
Upon release, Koinami changes almost completely, and its combat potential increases not at all. In fact, it becomes completely useless as a weapon on its own, meaning Noa must rely entirely on her own ability to get anything done. From a small knife, Koinami goes instead to a decorative fan that is only slightly larger than its previous form. It is light blue and has faint images of water painted in gold and blue. There is a gold tassel on the handle.
There is a thin ribbon of water generated automatically on the very edge of Koinami, though of course she can generate more if she so desires. Controlling greats amount of water, however, is very taxing. This ribbon can be mistaken for a blade if the light hits it right, which she often uses as a way to bluff her way out of close combat.
Functionality:
As far as combat is concerned, Koinami's Shikai is all but useless. In addition to being a small and comparatively fragile weapon, it also has no sharp edges or hidden devices, meaning that Noa can't use it at all when forced to fight in close quarters. It is an Zanpakuto that relies entirely upon its abilities and the Kido abilities Noa possesses. Using it in battle is literally useless, and losing it is also bad; without it in her hands, Noa cannot use any of its abilities.
Abilities:
- Name: Tengoku no rikusō (Six Spears of Heaven)
Class: Offensive
Range: Medium/Long
Description: Noa uses this ability to summon and shoot six "blades" of condensed water at her enemies. It can cut the enemy depending on how much effort she puts into it, but most of the time, it's used to push an enemy back or stun them with force. The size of the blades affects how far she can make them go, and the further away they travel, the less control Noa has over it and, if she makes it go too far, it becomes completely useless.- Name: Ao no keimusho (Prison of Blue)
Class: Offensive/Defensive
Range: 20-25 feet
Description: This ability can be used as both an offensive and defensive tool. By concentrating her energy, Noa can gather and hold a specific amount of water into a tight, hollow, ever-rotating ball that can be used as a prison. She can also choose to throw it at an enemy, however, which is likely, as right now she can't conjure one big enough to hold a person.
Maintaining this technique is extremely taxing, and Noa can only keep it up for about two posts at most, depending on how much water she is manipulating.Combat Information
Reiryoku Level:
Character Dynamic:
Noa's strengths lie in her abilities. Physically, she would lose almost any fight, and the Shikai form of her Zanpakuto means that fighting any opponent up close and personal is nigh impossible. She relies heavily on Shunpo, Kido and Koinami's abilities to achieve victory or escape. Because of this, she has a very good grasp of Shunpo and the techniques that come with it, and is a Kido expert. She insisted on learning the art even though she was told it was unlikely she would ever find battle. Even if she never fought, however, she was still determined to make the best of what she had.
Noa has some concepts of hand-to-hand combat done, but it was never her strong point. She’ll never admit it, but she is easily intimidated when she is fighting with people up close, both by their size and her own inability. She is quick to think on her feet, but most of the tactics she’ll come up with are plans to distract her enemy while she gets further away.
Being a member of Fourth, Noa's knowledge in medical matters is advanced, and she rarely travels without her "kit". Her knowledge, however, is mostly in natural medicine, as while she was a human she spent a great deal of time learning from sages and medicine men and more old-fashioned healers. You will never see Noa shine as much as when she has a patient. It is then that her true talent shines through.
Fighting Style:
Primarily, Noa is not a fighter. Though she strives to be stronger, Noa's first job is of a medic and of support. When she arrives on a battlefield, she will mostly stay back without fighting, saving her energy towards aiding her comrades when they need it. In fact, the likelihood that she will be called into an actual battle at all is rather small. But, should she ever find herself in a fight, Noa can hold her on, though not for very long.
As mentioned, Noa can react quickly in battle, if the brunt of the fight falls on her. However, when it comes to actual plans, she is not very good, because she tends to forget all about them if any (and I do mean any) complicating factors come up. If you tell her to go right and something explodes to her right, she’s going to go up. She works much better if you don’t tell her what to do, as it gives her less to reflect on and overthink.
Noa is a supporting fighter. She cannot fight on the front lines, but she will gladly watch your back and cover you while you charge forward. In the course of any battle she will find a high place and conduct her attacks from there, keeping out of close fighting at almost any cost. Though she has a fair knowledge and proficiency at hand-to-hand combat, she is far too weak physically speaking to hold her own for very long.
Reiryoku/Reiatsu Abilities:
- Name: Konso (Soul Burial)
Class: Utility
Range: Touch
Description: Shinigami use this skill to transport Plus spirits, forcefully or otherwise, to Soul Society. This is a derivative of the zanpakuto’s natural ability to purify hollows by splitting their masks.- Name: Shunpo (Flash Step)
Class: Utility
Range: Personal
Description: The shinigami’s signature movement technique, using extreme speed and acceleration to overcome the eye’s capacity to trace movement. This ability can be used to travel quickly from one place to another, or in combat by a skilled practitioner to get a jump on the enemy. Using this skill repeatedly over the course of a battle is ill-advised, as it does not take long for the opponent’s eyes to adjust to the high-speed movement.
Known Kido:
[li]31 - Shakkaho – "Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south!" - This kido spell generates a ball of red energy in the caster's palm. The orb varies in size, depending on the amount of energy put into the spell. On command, the orb will shoot out in a straight line. Once the orb hits something it will explode. The explosion may cause burns, and other similar injuries.
[/li][li]32 - Okasen - The caster creates a yellow orb of reiatsu in front of his/her zanpakutou. This orb will shoot forward and widen as it goes. However it loses power the farther it travels.
Bakudo -
[/li][li]28 - Seigen - ”Oh nature's blessing from above, the judgment is nigh, bind and hold ye down ye dealer of woe and suffering!” - Both hands crossed over each other, palms facing outwards, blue energy forms in both hands. The hands cross over each other in a slicing movement, releasing the balls towards the enemy, as the orbs cross each other they form a blue rope between them , much like a set of bolas, as they spiral outwards, binding the enemy tightly all down their body.
[/li][li]39 - Enkosen - By holding the palms of their hands, or zanpakutou in front of them, the caster may generate a disc of yellow reiatsu. This disc serves as a shield, and can block a variety of attacks. It will last as long as caster feeds it reiatsu.

[/li][li]-- - Healing Spells - These spells do not have known names, numbers, or incantations to cast, and simply heal the target. As the user holds his/her hands above the patient's wounds, his/her palms glow with green spiritual energy to facilitate healing. When one heals with regular healing kidō, they perform Reiatsu restoration first. By doing so, one can attempt to recover the physical body using the patients restored reiatsu and the healers external reiatsu. Therefore restoring the reiatsu when the physical body is in a fully healed state is no trouble at all.

Significant Inventory:
- Medical pack - It is a small suitcase-looking box she carries with her at all times that has basic medical supplies in it. Unlike what most of her comrades may carry, however, Noa's box also contains the medicine with which she is most familiar; herbs and handcrafted medicines.
- Flares – A small collection of flares and sparklers she keeps in a bag hanging from her belt. She uses these flares if she needs a distraction in battle if Kido is not an option. She usually only carries two or three at a time.
- Locket - She never lets anyone see the inside of this locket, defending it almost with her life. It is in the shape of a rose. On one side is a picture of her parents, and on the other is the gang she grew up with, with herself and Juro being prominent.
