Hirato's cerulean eyes watched impassively while Hachigen continued to heal the Kurosaki girl. It was obvious even if Hachi hadn't confirmed his suspicions that her wounds would have claimed her life had they not arrived when they did. She was struggling to move at all, and blood stained that orange hair of hers which signified her lineage. The Third Seat's full attention returned to her when she started speaking, something that she should probably not be doing in her condition. A smile appeared on the large Vizard's face when Fumiko greeted him. "It is good to see you, too, Fumiko-san," the Kido expert said with a smile and a friendly tone. Glancing at the Shinigami next to him, he decided to let him introduce himself. The Zanjutsu expert stepped closer until he was quite close to the light orange colored barrier that Hachigen was healing the girl within.
"I'm Hirato Murano, 3rd Seat of the 7th." He spoke these words evenly, his face remaining impassive as ever. The blood covered girl spoke again and the veteran Shinigami paused for a moment to ponder his response. Not surprisingly, she was curious about her parents' situation, which Hirato himself had only learned about very recently from Remy, his old friend with the 3rd Division who controlled all intelligence gathering in the Gotei. "Both of them have been promoted to the Royal Guard," was the reply that was uttered by the muscular young Shinigami to answer the girl's question. The Royal Guard was still under the control of the Central 46, but it was not really a part of the Gotei 13(technically 14, although he did not really perceive the 14th Division as an actual one). Many Shinigami shared his opinion, calling the 14th a "pseudo-division" and plenty of other, more profane things that he did not wish to repeat.
Despite his less than wonderful perspective on the new division, it did serve an important purpose. With a division based in the human world, sending Shinigami into it became less and less necessary, which consolidated the fighting force of the Gotei in a single place and prevented them from being stretched too thin. Of course, they still had to send Shinigami in from time to time, since one division couldn't handle everything by itself, but the likelihood of it had decreased significantly as a result of the 14th's creation. This certainly pleased Hirato, because it meant if there was a large scale attack on the world of the living, an appropriate force could quickly depart from Seireitei instead of having to be delayed while a member returned from a mission in the realm of the humans. Now that he thought about it, this girl was actually a member of the 14th along with her much older brother and many others.
He wondered how it differed from the other 13 divisions or if it did at all. Not much about the human world based division was known by the crimson haired man at the moment, aside from what Remy revealed to him when the two of them had time to converse. Even that wasn't much, strangely enough. Usually, the 3rd division member could supply him with as much information he could ever want and more, but it was not so in this case. He knew that the organizational structure and general hierarchy remained the same, however the details of it were unknown to the muscular young man at the time. It was not too terribly important, although he would like to learn more about the newest addition to the organization he had served for centuries.
