As the sound of Koike's voice resonated across the courtyard, his hand waxed over his black shihakusho. After finally releasing his bankai form, the young vice-captains original uniform had returned. The legs and sleeves were still altered, exposing his tanned skin. The only noticeable difference was a second white belt with a light blue stripe hanging from his waist. He thought perhaps the item was a gift from Tenka, or maybe it was one final gift from Yuna-san. Koike let his hand straddle along the soft cloth of the belt. Memories and regrets flooded into his mind as he watched the crimson haired captain stroke his chin. After a small pause, Captain Murano slowly opened his cerulean eyes, began to walk with forward with a dominant stride.
The captain finally came to a stop some 20 feet away. He had drawn so close the white haired vice-captain could see his own reflection in Murano’s clear cerulean eyes. Soon he spoke up in his clear distinct voice that rolled through the court yard. His words were not of a requesting nature, they were more of a command, and Koike's eyes lit up in a wide eyed display of surprised. 'Discard my zanpakuto, what does this have to do with bankai training?' he wondered to himself. Koike withdrew his blade and it's ivory sheath from his shihakusho's soft embrace and placed it on the wooden floor near the entrance into the first division. Koike walked back across green path. The blades of grass collided against his bare feet as his feet dug into the earth. He stepped back into position, ready for the captains next
The captain then began conjure three had in his palm. Koike' guard raised as fast as his surprised at seeing the Captain handle three kidou at once without so much as en-canting a single spell. First a beam of red energy shot towards him, followed by blue, and lastly a streak of yellow. Together they formed a triangle formation. Without a heartbeat of hesitation he flung himself backwards, and cast his own bakudo. A tremendous yellow aura took shape in front the vice-captain. The two opposing forced met in an instant. A diverse pallet of lights sprayed from the edges of Koike's enkosen kidou. The captain's kidou were not immediately stopped by his shield though. With great force they pushed him back. Koike was forced to push more and more of his reiryoku into the shield to finally quiet the captain's power.
Koike took a deep breath after fending off the three kidou spells. He then proceeded to shunpo to the side to avoid being caught off guard. Koike rushed along the sides as he prepared to take the offensive. Even if he was only truly skilled at bakudo, he knew fully well that bakudo had as much offensive power as a hadou if used properly. Koike pointed his right and left hands at the captain. With his right he pointed his small index and middle finger towards Captain Murano and cast sai. With his left he quickly drew the kanji for geki causing a red light to erupt from his hand and at his target. The two bakudo would be far from enough to hold a captain. However they were fast to cast and would allow him time to cast his next kidou. Koike closed his eyes, and jumped high as he could into the air from the wall. The young vice-captain forced himself into a deep concentration and shouted, "Carriage of Thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six!" His voice carried farther than it had all night. Six thick rods of yellow energy appeared before the two, surrounding the captain. They shot through the air towards their fearsome target. Koike wondered if this could be the winning blow, but he knew quite well that if anyone could overcome such an attack it would be a captain. Koike aimed his body towards an optimal position to land much like he had seen from the captain, and started to mentally prepare for what would happen next.
